  1. There are 2 separate schools in using NSW and salt mix. Both have their pros and con and had been argued a long long time. Check out reefcentral thread on NSW vs Salt mix and in their chemistry forum. Point to note. Salt mix would nv match 100% to NSW. Juz as wat copperband says, its a matter of opinion.
  2. Once upon a time, ah lim bought 1 small blue tang and 1 naso. Fussy eater, nv eat anything. Soln. 1 rock of red bamboo, cheap and gd from pasir ris. They began makan straight away. after 1 week, Chop nori with galic guard, eat and spit out...slowly.. after another week. Formluae 2 pellets and other pellets with garlic guard. after another week. Organic spinah, $2 dollar 1 huge packet, lasts 1.5 weeks. after another week. Fish poo...haha....and cheato. joking. Every thing also eat...
  3. I kind of skeptical abt New life spectrum. Shinny packaging doesn't attract me, haha. I prefer to stick to brands which are longer and more widely used by reefers in the mkt. Is ya PBT super aggresive?

  10. I heard of this method. Use stockings with prawn meat. Stuff it inside the stockings and attached with PVC to bottom. Then worm stuck to stocking.... hopefully.
  11. Tang = poop machine. Too much poop, water quality down. I guess one tang would be enough. Dun be tempted !! :)
  12. Can make milk. Soya bean. Anyone want a sip? Anyway, tank naturally clear after 8 hrs. Anyway, the tank is beside my window, nature day cycle, still like that. No wonder pple on the lights 24/7 for caulerpa.....
  13. Guess every people has their own way of quarantine their fishes. I personally saw 1 LFS , dipped their newly arrived fish in copper solution in a pail, let them stay there for few minutes, then remove and just put it into partition tank. And their fishes are really doing well. Dun ask why, haha. The point is that, its up to us to decide which method to use. Agruing who's right, who's wrong, would not resolve anything. Anyway, nice info in this thread.
  14. I have a thing for red bamboo. So far, only rely on red bamboo and cheato in my main. Water clear le. See tml milky anot. This is a seperate project. Hehehee....
  15. Wake up in the morning to see my caulerpa goes asexual . Horray....very milky. no livestock inside though. For those who dun know, when caulerpa goes asexual, they will release these white -ish spores, make ya whole tank damn milky. These toxins can reduce oxygen levels in the aquarium to dangerous levels. Beware. Dun be bluff by LFS. :P
