haha..for what I understand is that.. SPS feed 24hrs...so their polyps open day and night....in the night they extend further to catch plankton, day time for lighting. But, there's some day time never extend but night time does. Another is that, they extend in the day, close at night. Some..extend all the way Those are the findings I found in my tank.

I notice that some sps will extend their polyps more in the night than the day and some are the other way round. Any comments?

2 skimmer next to each other will not help....cos 1 of them will not skim at all....unless both is far away...each side fo the tank...then it will help to skim better.... cheers!!

try freshwater dip...for like 1min.....will not too stress for the button but will totally stress out the slugs

i have the same problem...lucky I'm changing tank...so those infected with slugs I nv transfer....it will kill all your buttons.....reproduction rate is super...... erm....still dunno how to kill them...good luck.....maybe you wanna use something to suck them out

NH4 should be 0 NO2 should be 0 and not just acceptable NO3...as low as you can....recommended 0..usually hard to get that..maybe on the avg 5ppm I don't understand by what you have said...you don't use brand?..for what? test kits? If it's test kits...branded will give u the accurate reading....I used to used those cheap brands....reading is different from those with branded....Salifert will be a good choice... PH 8...and dkh 18....can that be happen? maybe those senior reefers can say something abt it...i think a few mths back...quite a few debates on this.. White actinic??...Does we have that for marine reef keeping? I dont think so....you meant White lighting as in 10,000k?....or 6500k....you have to check it out.... and those coral you have need MH lighting....not recommended for normal lighting... From the posts you have...my personnel opinion is that...there's things you still not sure....and don't know what they are really called....still inexperience if you ask me....BUT....do continue to learn...I'm have been reefing for a year...and I still consider new.... 2012 is for 100gallon only...5x2x2 is much more than that.....not enough.....you should oversize the skimmer.... even 2014 is only for 150 gallon...
