  1. AWW~ Don't be sad bro. I also kanna. I lost 3 colonies thus far. Gonna dump more in. This lineage is like that. Not some bali zoa which we can throw into the tank and then 'bo-chup' but will still grow Happy Reefing, Marc J.
  2. NICE! What are you planning to keep? (: Happy Reefing, Marc J. P.S: Thanks for the information on your tank setup! Love it
  3. No, maybe you need an upgrade! Just couldn't find the reason to :X Happy Reefing, Marc J.
  4. I got some green with pink rings with grey skirt zoas on a rock for sale at $30. PM me if you are interested.
  5. LOL! I also use tapwater salt mix and the remainder top up with irwana + ah beng + coralfarm NSW. lol :X EH, no leh. I didn't run any PO4 remover so I guess my tank got bombed! :X and no tangs in my tank now also. haha Happy Reefing, Marc J.
  6. Also, guess I am the suay one luh haha :S But to counter this problem is easy: You can either put alot of carbon and alot of phosphate remover or GFO to contain the nutrient level during the intial stages and you should be fine there on (: Sadly I didn't do either of the methods so haha my tank got BOMBED! :X Happy Reefing, Marc J.
  7. wow bro, when did you upgrade to Artica!? haha what happened to the previous chiller? Happy Reefing, Marc J.
  8. haha, good for you then (: Happy Reefing, Marc J.
  9. Hey bro, Just an advice on the usage of dead rocks. Personally it's my experience and still experiencing right now. I think given for a tank like yours, being brand new and sort, better use MORE liverocks than dead rocks. This is because I believe dead rocks upon re-entry into any biological system will start leeching phosphates/nitrates or previous nutrients that were being kept dormant or was increased due to the massive load of bacteria being killed during the killing-off process. As a result, you will likely to face a huge hair algae bloom after your tank has more or less gone into her 4th month and on. I do not know about what bacteria you will be using but for me I am using MB7 and BioDigest with vodka and sugar. Trust me, using dead rocks will only make the curing process longer and more time consuming not mentioning wasting precious money on bacteria food and bacteria. I have already gone into my 6th month for my 3footer and the hair algae are not looking any sort of going down. So most probably for myself, I am gonna rescape the more affected aquascapes with LRs. So since you have not really started on your new tank, better is to buy fresh LRs than using dead rocks. REALLY REALLY not worth your time and effort. LRs you can look to Reborn ($5/kg) or to T95 ($6/kg) for them. If got more moolahs, then go for CF's luh. Hope I manage to get my point across (English no good ah! :X) Should you need an extra pair of hands for getting LRs, let me know also. I always zoom around YCK area. So haha can swing by to help you with aid of my truck (: Cheers bro, Happy Reefing, Marc J.
  10. AW! why do that when it's gonna hurt?! just let me know when you want to cut up some sticks man! I do not mind adding them to my collection. Gonna get plenty of room with my upcoming rescape! Cheers, Happy Reefing, Marc J.
  11. OH! haha! okay, thanks bro. angelfishlover. will check it out tmr (: Happy Reefing, Marc J.
  12. where got shipment? I also want to go because it's Hari Raya Puasa this Sunday! So from what I heard, most Bali fishermen have gone home to celebrate! Gonna be 2 weeks or more before they go back fishing for us :S (oh wells..) To all Malay Reefers, Selamat Hari Raya! Happy Reefing, Marc J.
  13. Yeap, Duncans are. Found only in Australia I believe and being so, the government limits their exports of duncans per year. So in a way uncommonly seen in this trade (: Happy Reefing, Marc J.
  14. Yeap. Got mark to help me take a better pic. Here's it.
  15. HAHA! yeah, you're right mr xxx. will consider when my tank's upgrades and stuff are done (: Happy Reefing, Marc J.
  16. Hello Bro, How much did you pay for the whole setup? Do you mind giving me the breakdown and perhaps contact number of your tank maker? Thanks! Happy Reefing, Marc J.
  17. what do you think of these bro? (: Let me know what you think. I have tried my best with my prosumer camera. Somehow, still cannot bring the colours of the corals to justice! :S Happy Reefing, Marc J.
  18. No no, outsump model. cause it's recirculating. but I put it inside sump so yah. Happy Reefing, Marc J.
  19. Agree, or you can get an Iceprobe! But still got to deal with water evaporation though my water top up is once every 2-3 days (: Happy Reefing, Marc J.
  20. Bro, I will not do that if I were you. I put my DNW200 insump and have to deal with a specific water level inside the tank to churn out the right kind of skimmate I want. Water level in tank will achieve a balanced water level inside the skimmer. It's the physics of fluids. So yah, if gonna put outsump, you can try putting a small tray/base plate to act as water collection for leakages or make use of the fish tank just don't put water in it. Okay? Happy Reefing, Marc J.
  21. the sps on the right, what is its name and is it from Pinnacle? Looks like the one who I fell in love with but didn't get :S Happy Reefing, Marc J.
  22. ERR, I asked the china girls. They said that they were from US. I guess Steven brought them in to add weight to this shipment so ie. pay lesser on freight and more worth it I suppose (: Anyway RC hornets, some definitely look different from what we have gotten here from Steven but some look dot to dot like what we have. I had some old hornets from bro. LemonLemon which he bought them from Sealife that time and trust me, they look more or less about the same. The differences are that bro.LemonLemon's hornets don't have the lumi green skirt around, just plain purple with the yellow/green ring inside and also it's a smaller polyp variation (: Anyway there are alot of names for this variation of zoas. Blue Steel, AOI, Hornets etc are some of their names being used around. Do a search in RC and you will find the answers. Nonetheless, for people who love zoas, I solemnly recommend this to be bought and kept. God knows when they are going to hit our shores again. Happy Reefing, Marc J.
  23. :eyebrow: SWEET! Thanks for the pics bro! Happy Reefing, Marc J.
