I have a DIY float switch DC autotop up and the tunze one. The tunze one is good very reliable. Use it for about two years already. It is very accurate to ablout 1-2mm. Float switch tend to be somehwat more unreliable though my DIY version seems to be working ok I have change a few sets of float switches already. Accuracy seem to be about 5mm. I am using the tunze metering pump because it uses 9/12VDC and I can run the whole thing off a DC adapter. I think the JBJ one is fine too. Try to use the smallest pump you can use. The biggest headache is the reliability of the float switch mount. Avoid suction cups if possible.

Rant: I agree to meet someone this morning to pass him a milli frag. Guess what he left before his own stipulated time which I agreed with him. I got off work at 0700, drive home cut the frags, shower and then go out thinking that I am still early as we agree on 0830-0900. I reach at 0835 and guess what he left and its my fault since because I don't answer calls when I am driving. Whats the point of arranging a time with me if you are not willing to keep to the time range that you proposed. The lesson learn: No more meeting anyone outside for my sales. If you are interested in my stuff you just have to come over when I am free.

I use to HLLE on my tangs. They went away slowly after I started adding Selcon to their diet. 0.5ml mixed with henry's food every other day. Kent Marine has a vit C supplement that yoiu can try.

What I know is that it is using the same controller, but they do away with the electronic box (now integrated into the pump) and they are using a laptop AC adapter instead of the transformer.

hi, Just upgraded my lights and selling my old light set. Old light set is a customised wooden box that sits on top of my hood. Inside are 2x150W DE MH with eballast, 2x54W T-5 with Ariba eballast and 1 x exhaust fan in the center. The MH and fan are wired together to a single power cord and the T-5 have its own power cord. currently have 1 year old Aqualight blue tubes and BLV 14K bulbs. Size is 1265mm (L) x 340mm ( x 164mm (H). The box is of high quality wood construction so its some what heavy. Two L-brackets are placed offset about 25mm to the sides to keep the box with-in the hood. Just quote me a price. Self collect in seng kang. Interested please contact me via PM.
