How much LR you have? Planning to start my tank end of month. I stay in sengkang too.

Would T-5 buld crack if it kena salt spray? Since the buld can be quite hot.

In my lighting design the T-5 got to be quite high up because they are mounted with the MH in a single housing. MH are 10in from water surface and T-5 are 9 in. Hence I think that the T-5 are only good for color balance and for dawn/dusk simulation. Those of you with 8xT-5 how is it mounted on the tank? I tought of getting 8xT-5 (4FT for a 4x2 area) but then to keep them 3in above water would mean that the whole top of the tank is covered up. very troublesome to maintance then.

The pump to the chiller might be too powerful (ehiem 1262) that is why I am getting the tee off. My tank maker was sure that it could be done I'm not so convinced so I want to know how the others have done it. The chiller will be a Resun 640l. The skimmer is ASF300.

hi, I'm getting a new 4x2x2. For the sump I already have a 1262 for the main return. For the chiller I have another 1262 (with a return to the tank) and will tee of some flow for the skimmer. This design is recommended by my tank maker. Do you people think that the flow rate will be enough for the skimmer (a macro not sure of the model)? Or I will be better off connecting a FR to it and get a delicated pump for the skimmer?

Nice tank. I'm in process of setting up one too. What lights do you use? 4xT-5 HO? I'm trying to decide on my lighting options now. I'm going to have a 4x2x2.
