hmm... i have removed the substance from my tank already... dunno what is producing this substance, however, the amount produced is way too much to be produced by any of the livestock... (by volume comparision) this is the 2nd time that i see this substance, i suspect it might be something within my live rocks that is able to produce such huge amount of jelly like substance. i do not have any corals btw... anyway i will keep a close watch on my tank to find out the mystery... thx

nope.. dun think is from my boxer... didnt notice the green substance under its belly for the past few days/week....

i just removed all the "eggs"... very slimy... like egg yolk... lots of it... at least got 1/3 of a can of coke... just small dots of white particles... dun look like shrimps leh... haha...

ya.. i think there are some bb worms in my tank too... the fishes dun eat the "eggs" only the boxer seems to be feasting on them..

Please help to ID the spawing in my nano tank. This happened twice recently and i dunno whats causing it. It seems to be like a bag of eggs. Many many small white particles floating together. There are only 2 clown fishes, 1 damsel, 1 boxer, 1 fireshrimp, 1 pistol shrimp, 2 snails in my tank.

Hi all, I noticed that my live rocks keep producing some "spiderweb" like substance. Its like long strands of spider web. Any idea whats that? I have some yellow ploypts nearby. Could it be that the coral is melting? If its not from the coral, then how can I get rid of it?

Hi, I have tried to put in a couple of snails to control my algae problem. but they dun seems to live pass 1 week. So far all fishes are doing fine, no casuaties. Only the snails dun seems to survive. Is it because of the livestock or the water quality? The only danger that might pose a threat is my damsel and boxer shrimp(small) Any suggestions?

i have a spare canister filter. Can I use it as a "refugium". I intend to put in DSB and live rocks only. No lights n marco algae. Just to increase water volume and biological filtration. Will it be of significant difference?

same problem here.... any better lightings for 1.5ft tank besides PL tubes..? the best i can find is 40watts.. higher watts == better lights..? then how abt intensity..? then how abt having 2 x 24watts PL approximately == 1 x 40watts PL...? such that i can cascade more tubes of lower voltage to obtain heigher n better lightings..? pls advise.. cos my current 1 x 24 watts PL dont seems to be providing enough lightings for my nano..

Hi all, just wondering whats the "ideal" filtration sequence to have maximum output..? I have seen different setups with different filtrations methods... which is more "ideal"...?? this is what i have seen from most setups.. if i am correct.. 1) overflow 2) wool filter 2) bio balls/ coral chips 3) sump with live rocks/ plants 4) skimmer 5) wool filter 6) return why some ppl put the skimmer last, as i personally feel that it should be the first filtration method..? how abt addional stuffs like DI, FR, etc... in which sequence should they be in..? thanks..

spotted a light greenish transparent kind of crab in my tank today.. it went into hiding just b4 i could take a pic..? any idea or suggestions what crab it might be? will it be reef safe and fish safe..? looks like those norm kind of crab.. except its kind of light greeninsh n transparent looking... abt the size of a thumb....
