Those are copepods. They are good critters. As for diatoms, since u r cycling ya tank, u can switch off ya tank lights. It helps to minimize their growth.

You can try and see the results 1st then decide later.

4 x T5 tubes should be good enuff to supp LEDs. U juz need to manage your nutrients level and parameters in check esp for SPS.
