  5. Hi Guys, been hunting around for parts when I noticed those flushing device used in those toilet cistern .... so has been cracking my mind the last few hours on how to get a surge device DIYed..... Think this would be a great addition to my future plans for water movement in my reef.... been thinking of a setup of 2 x 6080s providing mainstream current with maybe a TS 6 for variable water movement .... Add a surge device projecting about 60 litres of heavy water movement about twice an hour.... and I shuld be getting some really cool water movement in my reef.... What do ya guys think????
  6. I like the way your reef's been aquascaped... Cool.... How's your water parameters...???
  7. Well, Here's a list of products I distribute... 1) Used Saltwater.... Undetectable Nitrate levels.... due to efficient skimming and due to water running through really efficient denitrification unit... My DSB... 2) Acro Skeletons...... tons of them...comes with algae attached... J/k... getting bored... BTW, your post seems weird.... doing some business....
  8. Plastic screws overtightened will always fail.... Dun recommend any metal screws as when overtightened again a plastic counterpart might reshape the threading on your bracing holder.... Try those stores specialising in screws and see if you can find a M5 nylon screw thats long enough...... they do come as thumb screws but dunno if they come in such length...
  9. looks like jus have to wait till I get my hand on a Beckett instead of those other kinds of foam injectors.... Maybe drop the idea of the dual beckett and go for something else....
  10. Must say thats a really good lookin tang you have there... Got mine Powder Blue also from Paradiz Reef about 4 months ago.... In fact my very first Powder Blue and its still swimming happily around in my holding tank.... Must say that the livestock from Paradiz Reef are really good stuff...
  11. Most corals would be able to handle lights much more extreme than whatever we are able to provide.... The important issue than regards corals in reefs is simply getting them aclimitize to the lighting levels.... Place them into the lower sector or mid of your reef and gradually get them up to the desired position esp when the location is pretty near the lights... It would also be good to find out how long the corals have been in the previous location and how's the lighting levels.... Even light lovely SPS placed suddenly into areas of strong lightings could experience problems.... (mine did)... Another issue with the placement of the bulb would also be the light spread.... the closer, the more intense the light source but poorer spread of light... the further, the better the spread,. but weaker intensity.....
  12. New stock jus arrived in Paradiz Reef... These are some of the stock... 1) Evansi Anthias... 2) Large Cleaner and Blood Shrimps 3) Powder Blue Tangs .... 4) Purple Fire Gobies 5) Fairy Wrasses...

  24. I can’t agree with what you have jus mentioned.. I think we are pretty “soft” in our approach to many of the newbies here…. It’s only when newbies who arrive here and after being instructed time and time again on the proper method of this hobby and still remain adamant of their erring ways than do the so called “experts” come in really hard on them…. Take a look around… and you would have noticed numerous instructional threads and links being put up to educate aspiring reefers…… Jus look at the post our dear friend has made….. it is so clear that he has little regard for the hobby…. Remember, this forum was created so that reefers would benefit from each other and practice “Responsible Reefing”. And that is doing the right thing… Leave the experimenting to those who have attend certain level of understanding and success…. PS… There are no experts reefers here…. Only experienced ones….
  25. Sorry, did a check.... and its coming to a year.... ( I will try to find the invoice to verify actual date) Regarding the differential, Yes,..... it is able to...
