    Weld On Product

I was at a shop near kelantan lane that specialise with PVC materials.... Spoke to them regards a adhesive thats able to stick PVCs to acrylics.... well, they did mentioned that theres a kind of glue thats able to do that but would be expensive as it has to be shipped in from the states..... the other alternative to this is to use clear schedule 40 PVCs..... or build your project entirely out of acrylics....

    Weld On Product

errr.... hes refering to adhesive for acrylic products.... Hey thc, Whats worng with the standard adhesives available???
  4. You might have a problem with your returns.... solution... 1) get a check valve... (expensive) 2) or drill a small hole in the piping of your returns jus slightly beneath the waterline..... This is to break the back siphon when your pump fails.... This should solve your problem......
  5. Well, Fishes are pretty unpredictable regards to their diet... I bought that fella because of its known reputation to rid aiptasia.... which never happened.... Its goes for the mysis and the vast number of copepods available in my holdin reef instead.... well, it does look healthy and did control the pods population though... It has however not harress any of my favourite stuff..... AZ-NO3 although works... but its not a long term solution... Do you have a DSB or a denitration device installed??? What's your nitrate levels ?? and how long has your reef been running??? Hmmm a 7 footer reef.... maybe you should start a thread in the members forum to showcase your reef and post some specs ..... It would help ..... that is of course if you listen to the right people.... Yup, lady.... its a lemon Peel mimic.... as shown on your avatar...
  6. 1 month plus .... Takes mysis shrimps... Nope, have not been pecking on my SPS... BTW, you do know that they so take a liking to tibe worms... right??
  7. Vinoth, If the liverocks have been purchased from another reefer's tank, there might be a possibility that the readings obtained is correct but that is provided the rocks have gone through proper cycling and the transition period to your reef is brief....
  8. CopperBand.. (4 inches and feeding) = $ 6 Lemon Peel Mimic Tang ( 3.5 inches ) = $ 20 (Sold) Powder Blue (3.5 inches) = $25 (Sold) 2 x Eheim 1048... $65 per unit (brand new) (1 unit reserved)... Anyone interested in the Copperband and last unit of eheim 1048???
  9. How long has the piece of shrimp been in your reef...??? From the looks of it, your cycling might not have commence yet...
  10. EVer consider starting a flatworm culture....????
  11. Excellent... so you finally got them.... Hmmmm..... so we did managed to ID thos critters correctly... Now comes the more difficult task.... and that is to keep them alive after they wipe out those pests of yours.... Ever thought of keeping some of the flatworms alive in a isolated system so as to ensure a continous supply of food.... Cos... these nudis are not regular features in the LFS here.....
  12. Working on a development to get the probe into the CR... without any leaks.... And seriously considering you as a highly suitable candidate to conduct the experiment on.....
  13. There shouldn't be much of a concern here.... There are many factors that would affect the performance of CRs... other than sizings... issues, like quality of media, whether the CO2 tubings are leakproof etc does contribute to slight variance in results... (Hmmm, regarding this.... was wondering whether the grade of CO2 does give different results..??) Not to forget that Weileong's unit runs on a eheim 1250... therefore resulting in more water flow and also his recently acquired CO2 precision control valve ...... (better control) I have received readings from the other reefers ... both large and small units....Readings so far have been pretty close to what you guys have been getting..... You don't have to lose sleep over this...
  14. Glad you clear that up..... I was getting a little concern...
  15. Maintanence free...??? You are refering to them servicing your reef without you getting your hands wet...???
  16. Nope... A closed loop channels water from the tank back into the tank... What you have now is water overflow into sump and returned back to the main tank via a pump/SCWD... You would be required to have a hole/holes drilled for this... Pretty useful for chiller applications.... Actually a combination of various wavemakers in the reef would be advantageous....
  17. Looks more likt a Fungia (short Tentacled Plate Coral) or a Bleached Open Brain (Trachyllia) species thats in feeding mode... Are the tentacles always out??? or are they responding to some food?? BTW, Suncorals don't need lights... but would require feeding for them to last.....
  18. Go to pharmacies and ask for Epsom Salts....
  19. Received a message this morning... Yellow Headed Jawfish available in LCK 110...
  20. I'm currently with Tunzes and Powerheads.... That is till my DIYed Surge Device is completed....
  21. Is the 110 mm the ID or OD of the tube?
  22. To add on, I have 2 spare eheim 1048 for sale. Still in boxes and sealed.... Brand new. asking for $65 for each.
  23. Hmmm... interesting ... Where did you get that from?? A Calcium Reactor should work as long as there is enough CO2 injected to reduce the pH of solution in the reactor chamber .... resulting in the dissolving of the Media... Result would be effluent which registers higher in dkH and Ca.... Of course, other factors comes into play like the type of media... how efficient is the reactor etc ..... I'm no Reactor guru , only building them....
  24. Hi Guys.. As above.. CopperBand.. (4 inches and feeding) = $ 6 Lemon Peel Mimic Tang ( 3.5 inches ) = $ 20 Powder Blue (3.5 inches) = $25 Please PM me...
