  1. Great to have you here bro and many thanks for the encouraging words. Thanks bro! SPS legends like Scarab, Danano, Tomini Tang really raise the standard for many of us SPS reefers here . I would have to put in alot more effort in order to be compared to them.
  2. Will do.. btw, is that a pic of a Sail Fish on your avatar? Sure! Thanks for the kind words, bro. It's been awhile since I heard from you. How's your reef coming along? Yeah! those fiji pipes are one of a kind. Kudos to Iwarna for making them available! Thanks Oni
  3. Hi Milch, Thanks for the compliments. the thing however with photos of reef tanks is that they don't really reflect the actual colouration of the corals. The purple monti does look a little more purple on picture than it really is.
  4. Absolutely! Lets arrange a day where we could gather afew reefers to have a "kopi" and "reef" sharing outing. Sure. Let me know when you will let to meet up. "Kopi" session after tank viewing? You are into SPS.. Bro, my tank small lah, if you raid it ... then instead of "Tank of Gems" will become "Tank of Germs"
  5. If I'm not mistaken, Pen-raised Spinosimuss are readily availabe from Vietnam. So if there is a shipment of aquacultured seahorses from Vietnam, chances are they might be hedgehogs.
  6. Bro, you can give Hippocampus spinosissimus, the HedgeHog Seahorse a try. My experiences with them have been so far not too bad. Easily weaned to frozen mysis IME.
  7. Here's some more top down view pictures. Unfortunately, I'm not able to activate the MH for top down shots so they look really blue under the influence of the 4 x 39 watt ATI BluePlus tubes..
  8. Yes, I like the rollandis too. And guess what, they are a breeding pair that has a habit of laying their egg mass on my algae cleaning magnet. Thanks for the compliment, bro. Not there yet as I'm still in the process of learning. Think it would be more appropriate if we could share information and experiences.
  9. saying no to fairies and flashers at the moment.. (they all just end up carpet surfing) till I build some netting to constrain them. And damsels are nice fishes.
  10. Thanks, bro. But really, the stuff that I have pales in comparison to the exotic beauties you have in your collection. And that reminds me, when will you be showcasing your reef's FTS? Thanks Wilson. Yes, it's the same reef. Nothing much have changed as I have stopped stocking up awhile back. Guess the current FTS could be attributed to the SPS frags quick growth rate. And speaking of fragging, will soon be doing some pruning to get my reef back in shape.
  11. And here's the softies/ LPS sector. (Under ATI BluePlus Only)
  12. Here's my Monti Palace Structure. As of above but a Top Down Shot (ATI BluePlus Bulbs Only)
  13. Exotic Fishes from Japan??
  14. It's been a while since any update's made to this thread so here goes.. Here's some then and now shots. Then Now Then Now Enjoy!
  15. have you considered using the TLF NanoMag to clean the internal of the food container/reactor ? TLF NanoMag "The NanoMag also glides across the curved surfaces of fish bowls, wiping off algal films with ease.." I'm actually also considering buildin a reactor similar to a Kalk Reactor but with some additional features for this purpose as I'm runnin a 2 footer NPS system linked to my main SPS reef. Intention would be to apply frozen cubes of food in various mixtures as mentioned by Bro BFG and adding them into the reactor via a union opening. Live feeds like rotifers and copepods could also be applied to this unit, plus frozen algae paste and cyclopreeze.. Also considering using thisSeko PR1 Timer adjustable Internal Rinse Aid Pump as a means to feed a constant water supply to the reactor. Like the adjustable flow rate feature. Reckon if the pump is adjusted properly, the reactor should be emptied of food particles on a daily basis and a short cleaning session with the NanoMag should be able to minimise or better, eliminate the requirement to clean it.
  16. Hi Bro, Unfortunately sexual dimorphism for this species is almost non-visible, meaning no visible markings or sizing differences between males and females. That's the reason why reefers who are interested in getting pairs are encouraged to get them in at least 6 pcs to increase the chances of at least obtaining a pair. You can alternately get 2 pcs, place them together and hope they pair up ( know of some reefers who did get that and got really lucky) and continually replace one, if they don't, till you end up with a bonded pair. That's what I did for my neons. HTH.
  17. Got 6 pcs of evelynae. Trying to get at least 2 pairs from this batch. passed on the clownfish as I have lack of space. And yes, they are indeed nicely sized.
  18. Very nice size for the sharknose gobies. Most specimens brought in are small but these guys are huge. good for those who would like to try breeding them
  19. Hi All, I'm lookin for a unit of the above mentioned. Please PM me the the price, age and condition of the unit if you have one up for sale. Other brands of UV will also be considered. Pls PM to dicuss. Thanks Joe

  21. Apologise for the unclear infor. Many thanks to birdbird and CFOh for the clarification. Specimen is about a inch in length. Got it though it was found having difficulty keeping itself upright (suspected that it had some decompression syndrome). but issue had been solved with some TLC. Attach a picture of the specimen to give those interested a rough idea how the specimen looks like. Thanks to DA for letting me use the picture.
