Though of it before.... wanted a pal to bring them in from overseas but chicken out last moment... dun want him to get into trouble.... Most SPS are classified under CITES appendix II.... protected specimens so actually requires proper paperwork... before they can be shipped across...... Was also wondering if only frags are brought across.... not a issue whether if its illegal but rather can they be kept conceal from any detection.....

You might have to chisel the coral off the rock and epoxy it onto another piece....

Alright RMX, Here's the list......... For Double ended bulbs (150W) 1) Ballast (150 W) 2) Capacitor (20 uf) 3) Ignitor ( check the igniting volatge of the bulb and get one that's sufficient) 4) Rx7 bulb holders For Single ended bulbs (150W) all of the above but replace the Rx7 holders with a E27 mogrul base. and of course reflectors, wires and tempered glass for shielding....

CKS, Check out Aquamart recently.... no stock at all..... Was actually looking for Tunze Epoxy but no stock at the moment... Vincent, won't work if for under water applications.......

SO how reefers, No one got a good brand to recommend????? YOu guys use epoxy right????

My Biggest Mistake...... Getting interested with SPS........ Now spent a bomb on equipment.... have to have sleepless nights worrying what my next PUB bill would be like...... running around rural areas at weird hours hunting for specimens..... PM so many reefers for frag trades and sales ..... disturb and begging LFS owners to bring in SPS....... and now trying to get as many of u guys to join me in this extremely highly and unrational craze.....

For those with auto top up system, why not try DIY a Kalkreactor.... these DIYs are airtight with a stirrer...... activated by a timer a few times a day ..... when the sump volume drops, the auto topup will activate, causing fresh water to enter the Kalkreactor at the bottom causing the Kalkwater to flow out from top into the sump.......

Limpc, Remove the polyps from your reef...... that will first deprive these slugs of their food source... this would cause these slugs to die rendering your reef free form these pest. Place your polyps into a quarantee tank and remove these slugs from the polyps with a tweezer. keep in the quarantine tank till there are no signs of these pest... Polyps affected by these slugs will remain close after a while and will later die.... My entire collection was wiped out......jus as AT had mentioned....
