Ain't these Zeoliite thing already available locally?? Saw some of these at the recent aquarama.... and was tempted to give it a try...... My recent observations with my reef is that SPS are "better coloured" when alk levels are higher..... Whenever my Acros look dull, I knwo its time to start tweaking with my CO2 feed to my Calcium Reactor....

Hondace, I was away from my reef for about 2 weeks... what I did was prepare small containers with the fixed amount of needed additives and get someone to pour the contents in o9n a daily basis.... And this is also a good place to get a water top up device.... Cookiemunster has some for sale....

Hi Reefers, I'm seriously thinking of downgrading ...... from a 5 footer to maybe a 2 or 3 footer ...... So to start off, anyone interested in a 5.5 foot length by 2.5 foot width and slighty more than 2 foot height reef (appox 27 inches height).... glass tank... Tank has .5 foot built in overflow box... with a 2.5 By 2 foot sump....??? BTW, Tank has Eurobracing on top and bottom....

Let me know if you intend to loan your copperband out for a few weeks.... BTW, keen to know whether those reefers that have bought the peppermints from ML on their success in getting them to feed on aiptasia????

Excellent..... great to hear that... External pumps are the way to go..... I did consider the deltecs.... 2 concerns though... 1) very high pricing 2) issue on whether its pressure rated.....

There are some peppermint shrimps found in ML .... on whether they take a liking to aiptasia......... I'm also thinking of obtaining a copperband to deal with my currently growing population of aiptasia..... only concern is getting them to start feeding in my reef seems to be a problem.... anyone to help..... with some instructions?? and yes, if i'm getting a copperband, what is a good size to buy??

Very expensive "bottom of the range" product that is.... You running that for returns ???? or a beckett.... Really curious on its effect on a beckett....

These are the 2 places that I will go for SPS.... Namely 1)Paradize Reef.. 2) LCK 110... You should be able to get whatever you want from these 2 places...

IMO, eggcrates are strong enough and if constructed properly would hold for a very long time... One advantage is that with egg crates, you can constructed the shape that you desire with very little usage of liverocks..... and that IME, is a very good thing as 1) you spend less as rock this days are very expensive 2) eggcrates would be able to hold since amount of liverock is minimal.... I think I use less than 150 kg of liverock for my reefscape and that IMO, is a very big achievement for a 5 footer reef....

Yes.... self made from eggcrates (light diffusers) and cable ties....

And the completed project... notice that there is no sign that any racks have been used......
