Are we expecting any pictures ??

Need some help here.. I have a 2 x 1 x1 frag tank connected to my 4 x 3 x 2 main tank. i.e. water from main tank will flow into the frag tank and then out into the common sump. Problem is my frag tank is facing some cynobacteria.. while my main tank is running good and perfectly clear from it.. So it shouldn't be due to the quality of water.I dont have much LS in my frag tank too.. 4 fishes in it.. Is it due to too much light?? currently running on 4 x 24 watts T5 Or Too little flow ? Currently with a Hydor 2 wavemaker and flow from inlet pipe.. Or.. All algae is diverted and grow in my frag tank just like the principle of an algae scrubber?? Any idea to solve the problem?

The rockscape looks a little unstable.. You may need to secure it with epoxy at the joining areas. .. or rearrange with smaller flat rocks at the top... The rocks may drop once you add corals on it and the results may not be too good.. Just my comments...

I dont think there will be any problem with it.. Did that many times... but make sure your rock is free from pests...

Nice... but you shd add more rocks to lift up the rock formation so that you can add more corals...

"new live rocks' ... are these cured ones from other reefers? I think it shd be ok if the amount added in is little as compared to the current amount of rocks in the tank. I have done that before on few ocassions.. No impact to water condition.

Most of us use chillers to cool the water down. And I think almost all fans available will have metal parts in them which will rust... I think I saw 1 fan running @ ah-beng in which the body is plastic . design looks like a hair dryer . You can check that out..

How old is your tank?

You need to check how often the chiller will kick in and out.. I think your chiller consumes quite a lot of electricity + you need additional pump to run it..

Are you sure the $150 increase is due to the fish-tank? Is it because you are using more electricity on your house air-con during this hot period? Maybe there is sometthing wrong with your chiller? How often does it cut off ??
