A brief explaination. The return pump is connected to the return pipe and water flowing into the sump from the main tank comes out through the other pipe..... Once pump is switched on, water in the sump is pumped into the main tank and will flow into the overflow box and out come into the sump through the other pipe. Make sure all fittings are tight before turning on the pump. Thats it...

You can do a search on this topic. I think there are some previous posts regarding this. In short, you can adjust the valve on the outgoing pipe to your sump and flood the overflow till the water surface is above the top of the overflow. Then let the fish swim out by itself or lure them out by dropping some baits outside the overflow area. In my opinon, this is the safest way to get them out..
