ADDTIONAL HARDWARE as im a fan of skimmers.. heres my skimmer. As it doesnt fit in nicely to my tank back, I had to melt and cut part of it so it can fit nicely and it wont take out much space of the viewing area of the side.. yea really happy abt it. BUT i may not put the skimmer to "SKIM" mode 24 7... hmm.. ok heres the pic 1st!

ahyo, i pm u liaos. but nvm let me repeat lets see everyone's opinions! 1 - Tank (1.5feet to 2feet) 2 - Hang-on-back Filter (Creates watercirucaltion too!) 3 - Simple lights (for u to see em! and u could keep mushrooms too!) 4 - Liverocks (most natural filter) 5 - Sand Other stuffs include: A good salt mix, hydrometer, maybe a fan, freshwater conditional. and fishfood(get frozen ones) Thats abt all If kept well I can sure u can keep the tank for AT LEAST. 1Year. Low and EASY corals u can keep are mushrooms. Hairy mushrooms can act as an anemone for ur clowns, they would rub themself and all. U could go into advance mode and... keep more corals, turn ur filter into a refug. and all.. l Cheers!

Quick update - Got a goniopora (powerpot) coral today! quite big one, red and blue middle! It started to open and my anemone shrimp happily hosted on it! When the coral gets bigger I guess I've have to frag it. - Got another orange squirt yest. These bright orange squirt really adds colour to my tank! - Remove the brittlestar.. omg my fingers were >_< - Everything else is fine! Execpt tt my goby doesnt really swim out his hole often. and i still cant the pistol o.O anyone help? Just added into tank, everythings close the gonoi is at the left back.

Well, I guess the verdict is out? lol Well seriously its better to have a cheap airpump skimmer than none. btw if ur using airpump it will work well if the wooden airstone is new, so get a new stone every month

Ok I must make a confession, I was one of the supports of skimmer-not-needed-in-nanos I wanna repent haha! If theres a skimmer it would be better I say bettter to have a skimmer than none. A skimmer SKIMS up the waste matter and waste food in the tank. Water change just reduce the waste in the water by percentage as we dont do 100% water change. Water changes r still important. I suggest, do both! GEt a SKimmEr any kind. if its airstone driven (the wooden one is best) to keep it most efficent, change the stone every month or get a prizm (Im a fan of it) And water changes!! a good Salt mix is the best, if not get water from ur LFS(make sure its good ) or farms ahah cheers! oo my tank, i dont have a skimmer =X cos i didnt really plan on it and now i dont have so space. I hang my skimmer once awhile when the lights r off and skim overnight. (my skimmer belongs to my other tank ) But I believe that my tank would still go fine

Removal of Liveware Heres alittle update, sadly. my big pipefish started became aggro with with dwarfs so hes the 1st one to go. I already put him in another tank.. I guess I'll have to sell him. Next, as I got 3 dwarfie, 2 of them paired up and one of the pair seem to aggro the loner - so this dwarf pipefish (1.1inch) is the next to go when I can find someone who can use it. I also remove my bigger hermit crab - so im only left with 3 mini hermits makes my tank looks bigger muahah I also plan to remove my bristlestar.. quite huge for my tank. Everyone else is quite fine acutally. lol Iceprobe maintaining my temp at 27. wonder if it can go lower hmm..

Redsea Prizm >_< saves alot of space :( n perfect for our tank btw the marcoaglae u will want to put it in a sperate compartment with 24hr lights. just like any refugium

"not enough filtration for the tank" <--- the only thing u need to filter out is the waste food, and the waste of the livestocks, only a skimmer can do that. Waste also contribute to increase of nitrates, the most natural way to export nirtate out of ur tank is to get marco algae to feed on them. With these two issuse covered, the only thing thats not covered is a "surfface" skim. which is normally done when u have a "overflow" tank. but this can b somesort of countered by making sure the surface of the water is always moving - make waves i suggest, get a Redsea Prizm Skimmer, and a hangonback filter - empty it and fill it with marco algae.. then fix a light on it.

theres no hard and fuss rule on how much is needed, but as much as possible would be good. I suggest, have enuff rocks for the fish to hide that would be fine. get good quality liverocks, n u wouldnt really need alot of LR

Hi! I wouldnt suggest it:P Either get the purple leg coral banded shrimp.. as the normal ones tend to be aggressive esp. in small tanks. They may even attempt to attack ur fish. Maybe its just my racist perception.. but haha i wouldnt go for it. My suggestion, go for a skunk, Cleaner shrimp. Thu they might cost more they are much more hardworking, cute, harmless, and might even help clean ur fish

howdy cjh, LEstersharkeeper n mAxKoh! eh I'll tell u guys the shop right here bah, I always get equipment there as they sell stuff super cheap - cheapest in singapore (my guess) Its the shop near Clementi MRT, there is a 24hr LFS there.. walk along the shops and u'll get to a messy LFS which sells mainly equipments and freshwater stuffs (The shop at the end, beside a clinic) I support da people there alot :D ADDITIONAL HARDWARE despite all the neg. comments i still went ahead and bought the ICEPROBE, with temp. controller. My tank is est. 1feet cube, if it cant chill it down then I guess the iceprobe is a total failure. Well my water was chilled and I hope it remained chilled. I got the probe from a brother here for $180 - great buy. Thu I have not find a secure thingy to put it, i put switch my lighting hood to verticaly facin the tankfront, and daarrda!! the iceprobe fits nicely between the tank wall and the hood. But it isnt secure so hmm Anyone work on plastic stuffs? maybe can help me build a holder that hangs on my tank????!! *thanks* ADDITIONAL LIVEWARE hahaha guess what!! I got 3 MINI hermits.. tot they would do perfect for my tank. As I MAY consider removing my bigger hermit.. wanan keep NANO in my nano tank And I GOTTTT DWARF PIPEFISHHHHH - dont know the exact names but they r COOL! I got 3 of them! once they got into the water dey starting swimming around! And soon after eating! Their body colour are strips of VERTICAL DARKBLUE and Orange awesome I tell u.. they are about 1.1Inch thats really a Nano pipefish! And I got a bristlestarfish which i find SUPER HUGE.. its the size of my hand.. i think im gotta put it in another tank or sell away >_< anyone has MINI BRISTALSTARFISHY?

I'm the guy on the 1st row extreme right yo aStRoBo|.. dont think its by masterreplica. u could get one frm $200-230 Feeding - Just fed my fishes, goby still learnin to eat without being afraid. lol The pipe fish happily swims around and eat copepods again. I CANT FIND MY PISTOL SHRIMP, im geting worried.. It should be with the goby in their cave..but i dont see it coming out.. maybe.. at night =\ I have a strange feeling there might be some evil monster in my tank. I lost 1 ###### shrimp acutally.. I bought 3.. now Im left with 2 hmm.. Add/Remove Folder - I plan to remove my hermit. I think hes abit too big and might be the monster! Gotta replace him with those MINI HERMIT those really really mini ones maybe 2-3 I think ML sells 9 for $11 lol! anyone wanan share? Ok heres a pic that look almost exactly like my goby. took it off a website, great loveable peaceful fish you guys shld get it!
