it not the glass....when u get the fixture, just make sure its UV filtered indicated on the glass.....just to be sure

my old diy 150watt mh with UV filter......this should be the one we suppose to use if the bulb is not UV shield....

hi guys, im using one too.....the problem with this MH is that the ignitor vibrates and make a rattle sound sometimes. Also, this MH does not come with a capacitor.....to my supprise when i dismantle the MH. the manufacture want to save on cost maybe! Also, the 4 PL lights comes with 4 magnetic ballast.......that is the cause of the weight. Now, im replacing it with 2 x dual eballast. Now, after the rattling sound, i have decided to modify it to house DE 2x250watt with the gear being external..... Hope that the glass for this fixture is UV coated....
