hi bro, as for me.....even if i go for fowlr, i will go for 2x150watts....always luv the ripplying effect of the MH. if not, u can diy ur own.....staggered the 4' t5s lor...maybe 4x54watts... that will be good enough if u worry about heat problems

maybe u can t off to other equipment like ur chiller, skimmer..... that will reduce the return flow...

Hi Bro, if u off ur lights for a week, ur corals will not do well. i suggest that u put a timer for ur lights. Get a large reservoir ang get a Tubby. that will solve ur evaporation rate.

this is what reefers think....that t5 should be cheaper than mh.... since u are looking at 6-8 tubes, of couse its much expensive. If u are paying for the commercial units, it will be atleast @ 1k. btw, i have not seen hilux having 250watts if u are comparing to a china MH fixture, of course they are cheaper....but is it worth to buy? check out what they are using and u will noe why.... cheers

with ur depth of 2.5ft, i recommend u to use MH rather than T5's. The reason is that T5 cannot penetrate that kinda of depth. if u have a shallow tank, than its ideal to use T5's. thats my 2 cents...

Hi bro, the switches are meant for u to controll individual bulbs and not for u to connect the 3 core wire to the plug. The 3 core wire should be connected to the diagram showing the "connector". brown to the live and blue to the nuetral. and dont forget the earth which is not shown in the diagram. cheers
