if the carbon built up is at the bulb, just doing a replacement, it will work just fine.... not a pro.....but have encounter such problems....

let me guess, u are using an atman MH? u should not be the ballast or ignitor as it is able to fire up after a while. check the rx7 bulb holder....it may have carbon build up that affect the contact....u can also see the contact on the bulb too.... the sollution is, change the holder n bulb... cheers

Hi Joey, my advise to you is to upgrade ur 2x150watts MH to 2x250watts MH. rather than 2x150watts + 1x250watts. Since ur have a height of 3ft, a 2x250watts is the best setup for u. u can browse through my Webpage on the MH setup. since yours is a built in unit, it is much easier to assemble and hide the fixture to have a clean look.

the cost for the wessbond epoxy is sgd10....much cheaper than other brands and i think the content is pretty reasonable too. i have yet to try it out

Hi bro, Just wanna check on which brand of epoxy do u use? Currently using im using the follwing, Brand: Loctite (Quicktite Gel) Good for small frags. Dry very fast after gluing but comes in a supper small tube. Brand: Selleys ( Knead It) For larger colonies. Like a rock when hardern. Just got another brand from Wessbond. Another commercial epoxy that state that it can use on wet surface and underwater. Have yet to try them. Do u guys have any comment on this product? If u guys interested in it, do let me noe. It comes in a 12pcs in a box. Pretty reasonable price for the a "large" tube.

hi bro, if u need to fire a single tube only, u can purchase an eballast that only support 1 tube. if u need help, do let me noe. u can purchase the eballast from me and i will guide you to the connection. no need coffee $$.

a magnetic ballast will produce a magnetic waves and sometimes if the housing is close to the ballast, it will rattle......what u can do is check ur fixture if there are any loose materials that can cause the rattling sound. as for capacitor, its not really necessary as it is only use if u are running alots ( i meant a lots ) of lights...etc in a bulding. for that case, that it will save electricity. if not, it does not matters. if u look at all e german fixture, they also do not include any capacitor.... cheers

hi bro, since ur tank is 1.5 depth, t5's can do the work lioa. Less heat, less power consumtion...think about it maybe u can add more t5's to ur tank

the AT is rather large....so far, the largest i ever seen...should be @ 10-12inches...

normally is cause by strong lightings....mushroom esp yuma only need moderate lights... maybe u can tell more about ur setups. my 2 cents
