if u have budget contrain......PL tubes will also do fine.... neat work....

the suitable casing should be 5.5" wide and 3.5" height. but i see some reefers prefer it bare.........

bwilly using them..... btw, the bulb need to be change as they are too yellow......they comes in osram bulbs.

hi fuel, all FL lights sets comes with a reflector rite........ i never come across any FL lights sets that dont come with a reflector

hi FInKL^GiR|, the MH set cost is only $100. include misc @ $20-30. that all u should spend....but, u need to find a suitable casing to mount. Unless u want to have it bare..... this will not include the bulb...........

buy a used or new housing......to save cost, look for a used ones..... get the casing, replace the internal.....

hi sunray, use aluminium FL casing.......wont rust for sure even the ballast is hidden.

just a suggestion...... if u mount on a aluminum holder and the hassle of getting a suitable reflector, i rather mount it at a normal FL housing.... reflector included and eballast are hidden.... and they look cool.....

hi guys, DIYing is quite simple actually but u need alot of time running around to get the stuff. If anyone can get the FL casing, i dont mind helping......... the casing must be 5.5inch wide and 3.5 inch height in order to mount the MH. those interested in how it look like.....look at the MH in action.

overhead filter is not suitable in keeping Marine fish....unless u keep LH...

1/4 horse for a 2 feet tank? u need 1horse atleast...........J/K more than enough.....overkill.... electricity, it consume atleast 300-400watt............
