Hi Dez, The good thing about using LED is that you can "adjust" the colour to your liking unlike MH which is a fix. Im not sure what kelvin you using when you run your MH but for sure you can achieve similar colour with some adjustment when using LEDs. If the 16k colours seems to be too purplish to your liking, you can change to the 10k pad to have a more whiter look. Cheers

currently not many MH users as its hot and consume alot of electricity. Most of them are converting to LEDs which is energy savings and PAR eq to MH. I do sell MH at my showroom and do let me know if i can assist you.... cheers

OrSony is right, bulbs that is rated 14-15k are usually white and can be seen yellowish like a 10k color. But it still depend on the brand as Reeflux 12k is bluish. Ballast plays a part too. Magnetic ballast will have a stronger drive which make the bulb more whiter else a eballast has a weaker drive which make make the bulb more bluer. So if you want to get a bluer bulb, I suggest u get the Radium 20k, which most hardcore sps users are using it now My 2 cents
