currently, the SE are not available yet. As per BLV, they will be out only in Oct. If the blv are not as dim as the phoenix, it should produce a higher PAR. Maybe i should write to BLV and check its PAR values. cheers

The problems with the Atman mh is actually the bulb holders. Overtime (6mth or so), it tends to built carbon at the contact point. With this built up, it reduce the contact of the bulb n the holder. So, with poor contact, the bulb will not fire up.....ballast wont be so easily spoilt. my 2 cents

Hi BH, As not to shock ur live stocks with the new 250's, try running lesser hours in the begining and gradually increasing the number of hours. The 10k are not pleasant to the eye but it will benefit ur corals esp for sps. run a few actinics to suppliment the 10ks...... that will make the look more whiter... cheers

with a sudden shock, it will shorten the life of the tubes. We really cant tell visually but can tell by using a lux meter. to avoid this, use a t5 eballast instead.

what loster is selling is a magnetic ballast (ballast, capacitor, ignitor), all wired and comes with a black powdercoat housing. u can purchase a FC2 or E40 socket seperately which is not included in his sales.

base on teco specs, it require a 600l/h pump. But for my case, i use a eheim compact 1000 and it works well. for a 4x2x2, it will work hard depending on your heat produce by your pump and lights. i sold off my teco as it could not cope my 4x2.5x2.5ft tank. cheers
