yes, it can be mounted (double side tape) but it will have a wire to the adapter.

Hi guys, Any of you u using moonlight in your tank? Off the rack or diy ones? or do u think installing a moonlight is a waste of time ? And $$ ? Im asking this cause im able to source a good, cheap, strong (3x1watts led) moonlight. This set can be double sided tape to your fixture, mount on a hood etc....some pics i took with the led on... It also can be hook up to a few sets.... Pics showing 2 sets 1set (3x1watts led) with adapter is slightly above sgd20. All hook up. Issit cheap?

as for the atman fixture, the only fault lies on the RX7 connector. After sometime of usage (6mths or so), carbon will build up on the connector which will prevent it to have a good contact with the MH bulb. and also, since the RX7 connector comes in 2pcs/set, after sometimes it will get loose( the mh bulb will be loose after installation). i think you problem lies to the poor contact of the holder n bulb since it is able to light up the first time but fails after a few minutes. My suggestion is to unscrew the holder, try moving it closer, hoping that it will give a good contact of the bulb n holder. With that, it should resolve your problem. If not, replace for a better german RX7 holder.... my 2 cents.....

normal glass will crack in strong heat.....

u wont be touching the reflector mah....the heat will be contain and it might reduce the heat. can order if there is qty...for the tempered glass

simon, i think, install a tempered glass and it might reduce the heat in some ways. it will definately block a certain heat rays. there i say, want close close to the water......
