  1. wah bro, u got a deep pocket leh....i wish i was born with a silver spoon too as for a 3ft height, it will not be wise as u will have difficulty in maintaining in future. The MH will also not be able to penetrate and u will need atleast a 400watts. The best height will be either 2, 2.25 or 2.5ft And also, a 2ft width is not a good choice. I feel marine tank should have a min 2.5ft width..... if you have the space, a 3x3x2 will be nice. For SPS, it best to invest on a tunze controller rather than the 2x6060. A TS24 will be nice... my 2 cents
  2. i seen in zeovit that they are feeding the BK with a eheim 1260.....since the pump are running side by side with the skimmer with any head lost, i guess it should be enough.,,,, if not, must try a stronger feeding pump the back flow is strong lioa from the effect of the aquabee2000......
  3. bro loster, so u coming back reefing huh?.......FOWLR also have the thrill too....been keeping coral so long, so time for a change lor
  4. bro copperband....me going FOWLR..... no $$ n time to keep SPS....large tank need deep pockets
  5. as for me, i luv the quality of the BK....plexiglass, large body, low running cost etc.... i have seen the rest (other brands)....nothing is comparable to the bk in terms of workmanship... and also the $$
  6. i got a spare BK300 ext if u are interested...
  7. the whole 12" body is cover with bubbles...just come close up pics for u guys.... Now very broke lioa....donno how to pass through hari raya...i think must cut down the "green packets"
  8. wah, u so kan cheong.... here it is in my cabinet...i need to remove all the shelfing in my cabinet to fit this baby in.... for the newer Bk 300 Ext, it will comes with a single outlet unlike the older models which will have 2 outlet.... i think the german realise that 2 doesnt means better.....
  9. the BK is so easy to install....what u need is.... 1) the piping for the water outlet (63mm GF piping)..... my old BK250 int comes with it, but not the 200 int..... 2) feeding pump.....a good pump will either be the eheim 1260 or Aquabee 2000. I choose not to use gravity feed for my case. Just too lazy to redo the piping... Adjust the water level by turning the top return red piping just like H&S style.... there u go.....a running BK
  10. the worst part of this skimmer is....... the bloody outlet is using 63mm pipe...... bought the GF pipe + 3 x 90deg elbow nearly cost me 100 bucks...cannot imagine how much the 63mm ball valve cost.... overall, spend more than 100 bucks for GF pipings...... using a aquabee 2000 for the feeding. cheap and good.....low waltage heres a pic of my BK 300 External with my N70 phone...
  11. sorry lah guys, busy with hari raya preparations.... ok, some more pics on the parcel

  15. so base on your theory, a 4ft tank should use a 3ft light than? just to save electricity? It will be best if you use the correct length so that u can achieve a better coverage. Of course u can use a 4ft tubes but u will have some blind spot at both end of ur tank. cheers
  16. yap.....doing well now. eating everything i feed them.... in my tank got the following angels.... 1) earspot 2) french 3) Blueline 4) King 5) 2 x flame Last angel im looking at is a healthy queen...
  17. I saw that your are doing a 5ft tank...why are u opting for a 4ft t5 instead? It will be a better choice for u to use a 5ft lights or a 5ft tank... cheers
  18. now i realise that keeping corals are much earier than keeping fish Esp Angels..... But im back now....more carefull this time!!
  19. Thank bigbird for pointing out........unfortunately, most of my fishes had been wipe out due to itch outbreak only the strongest survive.....which are the tangs and also, sold off my Bubble King for a new toy.....
  20. for me, i will go for 150watts with a good reflector in order to have a good coverage. A single 150watts will be enough for ur tank. U can run with eballast so that it will save electricity in long run. Couple with blue t5's to get a nicer blue hue.....
  21. ur tank do not have any biolad....how can the beckett skim my 2 cents
  22. hi guys, Anyone have a used or new 70watts MH bulb? need 1 units for testing purposes so if u have one to dispose/sell, pls pm me... cheers
