some eballast do produce sound but it should not be loud....cheers

the secret is to use a good german eballast with good germany tubes....any not paying german prices. there are also many other factors too....

from the pic you post, it seems that your T5 are more brighter than your dad's 250watts.... am happy that you are please with the light set. cheers

Make sure u have a strong fan to cool the MH and also a tempered glass to prevent the heat from melting the tranparent plastic cover. Just make sure u monitor when u run it.....

u will need to use a 250watts dimming ballast to do that. The dimming eballast will have a knob which u can manually tune it down which will dim the light.

what about aquabee 1000? i have as good as new one for sale

might need alot of cooling (Fan) to reduce the heat in order to suceed using the 150watts. the last time i mod, it was using the existing fans which i think its not sufficient.

250watts its a good choice. u dont have restriction when u buy corals.....

Model Aquabee 2000/1 this is meant for the H&S outsump model. Its also the same as the Deltec APF600 pump

check the end of the tubes (pin) if there are water? if the tubes are ok, than it maybe exposed wires that is in contact with the fixture.

You be getting the needlewheel and aquabee pump...The AB pump are reliable which is used by reputable brands like H&S and Deltec. Btw, the needle wheel impellor for Deltec and H&S are the same....if you cant get overseas, u can get them locally by it will be more costly....
