  5. Sorry bro, that verse is quited from the Holy Bible, which means all creatures are precious in God's eyes, so, our responsibility as a reefer is to give them a good home that they deserved. In other words, "the compassion of the sinful man is cruel" cos when they see the beautiful creature, they start liking them, then they rich enough to buy them over, but unfortunately they indirectly kill them cos of the water is hot, water dirty, no proper food given, fishes too many tank too small, etc... Well, I did those b4 and I sincerely confess to my mistakes.
  6. Hi guys, Anyone thinking of selling their chiller? I'm considering to buy if price within budget, a 1/2 HP will be good. Pls pm your (price, model, condition, age n place to collect). Thx
  7. hehe.. left wif some bal. stock lol, let's finish it first, any brand recommendation?
  8. Yes, bad weather, might need to consider chiller as I don't to kill any more LS... "A righteous man cares for the needs of his animal, but the kindest acts of the wicked are cruel." (Pr 12:10)
  9. Just added with grade 0 sand to my display tank, looks good. Pic taken under blue PL lighting. SG: 1.0225
  10. Yes, need to do something, 28.5 deg c is no good, thx 4 your info.
  11. Rio 20hf rated at 1290 gph, which abt 4880l/h, once to my tall tank i think is abt 3500-4000l/h.
  12. Temperature still maintains at 28.5 deg c with the cooling fan on, water top up another 4 litres, so, it's confirmed that each day I have to top up water about 7 litres, this is really toooooo much. 28.5 deg c is not good enough either!!!
  13. Hi Jameshong, I thought UV light is harmful to corals n human, is't necessary to have UV LED?
  14. After one night of faning, temperature dropped from 30.5 to 28.5 deg c at 9am this morning, lost 3 litres of water in the tank.
  15. Enlightening, thx for your input.
  16. Great work n learnt something new. May I know why using LED lighting and not T5 or MH? Is't cos of the heat products by T5 n MH? Especially for SPS keeping, why use LED?
  17. Can refer to http://www.getforme.com/environment_watertidetable.htm
  18. In next actions: 1. Introduce a fan (25w) for 24/7 to my quarantine tank, hopefully the temperature will able to maintain at 27-28 deg c. 2. Add a tin layer of sand into the tall-tank so to gives more natural look and more options of LS to play in future.
  19. Thanks for your sharing bro, and also thanks for your posting on "Punggol Intertidal Walk 25 Jul 2009", I already told myself no to miss the next "super low tides" on 21 and 22 Aug, hope to see you there too. Yes, you r right, the taller tank is my main display, so far just one fat n big 6line inside (remaining LS after sale), no specific LS planned for this tank yet, but it must be something new and challenging. Any suggestion from you? Welcome your input!
  20. Almost closer to 3mm, I should say it's medium size, more problem for my 2.5" saddleback butterfly to consumes.
  21. Thank you peacemaker for your concern and suggestion, I do agree with you that the "extended" legs can be quite risky to an extend if someone may hit or push or even pull the leg and make the tall tank collapse. Well, as I don't have any kids at home so it's still safe to me. Occasionally, I do need to keep an eye when there is children visit to my hobby room, not only to take care of the "extended" legs, but wires n switches too. Anyway, in my point of view, the "extended" legs are still firm enough to uphold the weight of the tall tank.
  22. My concept for this setup is using alot of LRs and sand bed to play as a denitrator in order to set free myself from changing of water, more water volume added in the container in order to maximize the LS in the display tank. Well, no hurry to proof how its result, just wait to see the coraline algea grows first.
  23. The entire setup in my hobby room as follow:
