  1. Yeah Thioeh, I think yurs is more accurate. But i think tube anemones can live in low light conditionds as they dont have the zoo. algae in their tissue. My 2cents
  2. How big is the bubbles dude? I'm interested.
  3. Leather (sinularia) requires high light intensity? Mine doesnt open... The dealer says my tank too bright.
  4. Hmmm.... no one has this problem? Maybe my 'poo-eating" YT is too greedy... one of a kind..
  5. I feed small pieces of shrimp to my hammers, zoos and yumas only abt twice a week.
  6. NICE QUEENS!!!! But they have more blues hor... I've seen one i believe is another variety from a different locatlity... it has more yellow. Resulting a very stunning fish!
  7. Try using a fan. I used it and the temp is kept at ard 27-28 very useful for small tanks like ours! And regarding the anemone, hope u are not feeding it too much yeah? I think teh probles are due to insufficent lights and too warm a temperature. Try using a fan, it'll bring the temperature down within hours.
  8. Nice little tank. Maintanence looks minimal... NIce..
  9. Back to crazily expensive fishes... What i dont understand is... WHY A BLACK TANG!!? So expensive!!! Rather get a sohal or monk, at least got pattern.
  10. Yeah , i agree with limbssg and drattg. Check yur parameters...frankly speaking i dont think the UV is that important a piece of equiptment la. And with 5 - 6 watts... i think not much of a diff leh... SHould pump yur money into yur filters and skimmers instead. If u havent had any water testing kits, i strongly suggest that u get AT LEAST an ammonia tester, a PH tester and an NO3 tester. These few are by far to me the most basic lah. AND ALSO SG (specific gravity... saltiness... hee) How about the rest of yur livestocks? If its only the angels, then it might be the LFS that u get them from. My 2cents.
  11. Have u tested the water parameters? How abt the other lifestocks in the tank? Are they thriving?
  12. HAHAHA! YOU WISHED! That YT is my fav. Greedy as a pig, eat everything and tame somemore can touch one.. haha DOnt ever wanna give it up... unless it leaves me.. i'll be heart broken... "My girl friend is gonna kill me if she sees this..."
  13. OMG!!!!! MY Uncle juz bought me 2 last week!!! I put it in, it looked pretty docile... But the strange thing is.. only my green mushrooms are damaged... the orange and the red ones are fine.... and my yumas are fine too.... and they're green!!
  14. Hmmm... Hope so... dont wanna kill a 40 bucks fish...
  15. Okay... the results, - Experiment to keep adult brine shrimp is fresh water failed... (Most died the following morning in my fridge while the ones in salt water still kickin' . So i drained the dead ones... add garlic guard and froze them still fresh la no prob.) - Experiment to HATCH BBS in fresh water also failed... (Takes so much longer and lower hatch % somehow...) SEE!!!! Who says NSmen have no time!?
  16. Recently small holes have been found on my Large green mushies... Dunno how they got there one moment they were fine but the next this ugly wounds appeared the next day. They look like bite marks... Could it be my stupid YT mistaken it for a piece of algae? WOnder if anyone encountered this before...
  17. I can exchange my cream colored one for a red one half its size.... HAHAHA! Man gotta keep track of it... if i got it, then i'll give away my present one...
  18. Sorry to cut into yur thread bud. Am thinkin of getting a PT, but already hav an existing YT in my tank abt 3inches in length... Do u think the two will hav a 'show down'?
  19. Any idea where i can get one? And roughly how much? Mine's cream with green rim... sianz... Need some red in my tank...
  20. Ohh... i see i see.... Sorry for not knowing enuff NIce set up.
  21. THAT IS INTERESTING!!!! I should try it for kicks.. HAHA! Thanks guys!
  22. NIce.... BTW what that gas container with the gauges beside yur sump?
  23. Nah, i think the are naturally occuring in salt water pans rather then the sea itself, which is infact brine shrimp free (Mysis and krill is the ones thats found in the sea... if i am correct.) Anyway, i changed the water in my shrimp container to fresh water this morning. So i guess the true answer will be revealed when i get home... weather if a container full of life ones.. or dead floating ones... hehe
  24. NICE!!! wanted to get one that time but cant find.... Me no tank pic leh... can? But will my purple dottyback like him...?
