DOnt try to touch it again. The more u move it ard the more stress it gets then soon it'll slowly die off...

Havent experience this first hand, but read somewhere that macros may give out certain toxins or chemicals in the wild to stun or kill nearby corals to compete for reef space. That may be the reason. Or maybe prehaps you should check yur water parameters and any signs of illness or parasites. My 2cents worth

Mine's doing fine under T5, i placed them in the mid level of my tank. I also fed mine pieces of garlic soaked market prawn or mysis about once or twice a week. Pretty hardy provided that u dont move them ard that much and provide them with moderate flow, juzt enuf to sway the tentecles. Hope my experience works for u.

Looking to sell of my favites colony. Size is abt 4 Inches in diameter and 10 inches circumfrence. Colour is purplish brown. Good polyp extensions and good round ball like shape. Looking for 40 bucks but price is neg. Wanting to clear the space it is taking for other corals. Stays in the east. Prefer to collect on weekdays after 8pm, Hopefully by the week. ps> the colony is not bleach but the colors are slight patchy in areas.

Yeah thats a black velvet alright. Agree its a nice fish, very attractive muted colors. But do make sure its feeding before buying it home. And may need a tank with good growth of macro algae for grazing. Can try la. Good luck!

Can elaborate more on the ray of dorsal thingy?

Bro, its better to read up abit more on butterfiles. You will realise that different species will tend to favor differ type of soft or LPS corals. Some like the copperband may not even be safe with mushies or anemones. Just my 2Cents.

Neon pink?? Wow.... show leh show leh... My normal one open big big for abt a couple of months, then now can only see 'flower' no stem liao, didnt help when the shrimp keep disturbing it...

Just to share my experience... Mine 2 rock didnt ok for abt 3 weeks... Even started spreading to the adj rocks. But then after, slowly slow off. The turn brown and just crumble away... Found this huge feathery white nudi "abt 1" in length" Grazing on them... Removed it but somehow too late to save them. The rest of the colony which is not affected by the nudi somehow still turn brown and rot away... Place it in a good flow area, didnt dose iodine though. Could it be i over skimmed my tank? Heard that some softies, in fact a marority of sofies need somewhat higher nutrients laden water to thrive.

I also know that corals expel 'excess' zooxanthalle from their bodies. Naturally due to the fact that they need to control the algae saturation in their tissue... Got this piece of info from a documentary... Hee

The size is about 2" for the female, and slightly smaller for the male. No pics for the moment but the price someone offered so far is 12 bucks...

Thanks for the info... Anyone has any idea if the reclaimation work has been done and over with? And hows the condition of the beach? Clean? HAHA! Planned to go there for a suntanning session.

Still swimming in my tank. Anyone interested?

Anyone been there recently? Care to share about the conditions of the beach, facilities and the fringing reefs? And what abt that marine research center? Still there? Can go in see see? Planning to go there for a short suntanning trip. Need some updates bros/sis.

I've read somewhere that underfed tangs have the tendence to nip at LPS. I found holes in my elegance b4 it wave byebye too... Suspected to be my YT. U can try having a crop of macro algae in yur tank to divert its attention... Might work but its too late for me...
