Careful of your snowflake escaping from your tank!

Spotted a Wunderpus (mimic octopus) for sale at Ah Beng!!!! As at 11am this morning... But saw quite a few people expressing interest in it already. Anyone interested better move quick before it is snapped up! Only 1 specimen available. Most importantly... remember to bring enough $$$ along with you.. otherwise can see only cannot buy.

OMG!! I just had a look at my eel tank just now and to my horror saw that my snowflake moray eel had my white ribbon eel in its jaws!!! I quickly chased the snowflake off with a stick.. now the ribbon eel is hidden in a rock, refusing to come out. Goodness... to think that snowflake morays are well known to be very docile, compatible with other fishes and will eat only crustaceans... They've been living together for almost 2 months without problems before this... hiya. Anyone else have experienced similar 'snowflake treachery'?

I've kept a jawfish before, and it didn't bury in the sandbed.. instead it preferred to hide in the rocks, sticking its head out. I think wrasses are the more difficult ones to keep alive without a sandbed.

Anyone got any luck getting your white ribbon eel feeding on frozen foods?

Hi everyone! Just got a white ribbon eel today and placed him into my tank, which also has a small panther grouper. The eel is very slim and small in circumference but long. Haven't tried feeding him yet. Currently my grouper keeps following him about the rocks, checking him out. Have read bro Synanceia's thread re: his eels. Just wondering, anyone else has experience keeping the white ribbon eel or any other moray species for that matter and care to share? Thanks!

Oh no... Very likely a case of ich, a parasitic infection. Blue tangs are notorious ich carriers... will develop ich very very very easily when stressed (eg. when moved to a new tank).

Reborn seems to have increased the prices of their lifestock already... Went down there and was quoted $48 for a flame angel and $45 for a baby clown trigger. Considering that Reborn used to be one of the cheaper marine LFSes around.

Other than sudden change in water parameters (most commonly due to inadequate acclimatisation before introduction into the tank, or due to massive water changes), other common causes of cleaner shrimp deaths are due to bullying by other tank mates. Common culprits: 1) Groupers and wrasses 2) Pistol shrimps 3) Boxer shrimps - They will gradually trim the feelers of your cleaner/blood shrimps every day and generally harass them to death... even if your cleaner/blood shrimp is much bigger than the boxer. My personal experience.

My blue tang kenna terrorised by my yellow tang... even though it's almost a full inch bigger.
