Thanks Tanzy, I thought the layer form on the surface of the Kalk water is to prevent it from getting bad? I see that people from RC prepared about 5 days worth of Kalk to be used in their top up, so that is not right as the Kalk will go bad?

So, where can we get this product in Singapore and how much will it cost? This is supplement I believe and not food, right? -
Hi to all I think the above question may has been address before. But I think I still have not get the right idea of it, so bear with me. 1. Kalk are recomended to be drip via a dripping system, some say at 1 drop a second into the main tank or sump where the current are swift. Some say you could add in to your top up for daily evaporation. Best time to add Kalk is at night as the PH is the lowest. Question : Currently my evaporation rate for a week is about 6 gallon and I wish to add Kalk to my top up. Problems is every time the top up occurs, there is about 300-400ml of water going into the sump during a duration of 1 minutes. So could I still employ Kalk in this case? The top up occurs the whole days, some say you only add Kalk in the night as the main tank PH is the lowest. Given the constraints that I have a. each top up of water is 300-400ml over a period of 1 minutes b. Approximately about 8 times of top up per day c. Top up occur in the day and night can I still add Kalk into the top up resevoir that I have? Take note the Kalk when prepared will need to last from 3-5 days as I top up my reservoir twice a week. Need those with experience with Kalk to comment the above, thanks.

well this is not entirely not true. When I bought my LR, there are alots of brittle star and also some snails. It will depend on the quality of LR that you have purchase. So there is still hope.... -
A little off topic, Reef world at LH was open since 4 FEB, was there to get some LPS..

Please do not get the ruwal brand skimmer, it is useless, it i nothing compare to the H&S skimmer. It is not using the needle wheel, it is running by Rio pump and the propeller is a 6 or 8 blade one. The amount of bubbles produce cannot compare to H&S. Further more, the water level need to be constant in the sump to enable proper functioning of the skimmer. Why I know it, cos I have a Ruwal in my 3ft tank.....
-
I think he is refering to the height of the metal stand being 3.5 ft tall
-
I think you will need to name your budget, else you will see lots of equipment with high prices being recomended. For example I would recomended H&S skimmer, get the one that handle 800l, the cost is $850..... See what I meant For Power Head, go for Aquabee or Aquaclear.....

I do not think the micro will support 120l, take a look at the following URL http://www.eaquanature.com/teco.htm eaquanature do sell Teco chiller, but I don't think they have the best price offer. Others might chip me and let you know where has the best offer...

can put 2 triggerfish together?
clowntrigger replied to souphamster's topic in New to the Marine Aquaria Hobby
If it is a female one, I won't make a noise about it back to the topics, A clowntrigger is one of the fierce trigger, these 2 might not leave together even if the other is a female....... If you really want a CT, you will have to wiat till Chinese New Year is over, I do not think most LFS will bring in fish for this week. I have seen a CT at Chinatown last Saturaday, but the condition is so so only.... -
hmm... what kind of filtration are you using? This is a bare bottom tank and I don't see any overflow of canister filter. You using LR as filtration?
