I agree with you on that, I always do that in fact, pay first and then leave the rocks with them for a week before I collect them. Well you do have to reweight them, just in case some of their customer take the rocks that you have paid and reserve.. <_

Unless each of the live rock has the NRIC number, the LFS will not have a way to track them that is how I feel, probably there will just give you a pluck from the sky answer, IMHO.

hey guys, thanks for the input, just want to be sure everything is a ok. -
Hi Guys I know that certan plastic container or pail cannot be used to hold seawater as some of them will leach toxin into the water, so how to differentiate that? I am thinking of getting a Toyogo brand container to mix my seawater as these rectangular container are huge and will meet my 10% water changes that my tank need. Also thinking of those sell by Ikea, any comments?

Hi guys Can you advised what kind of lighting(dim, med, strong), current(weak, med, strong) for the above coral? Are these guys photosysthesis kind? Is there a best time to feed coral, like when the light is out or is it anytime in the day? I have these like 2 days ago, want to make sure everything is right for it.

wow, I don't know what to say!!!! Got free time also must think a few more time. I really regretted the other time when I was there, that is free then, now have to pay...

loonz, thanks for the info. Now the next question is where to get these stuff? Anyone has seen the above very recently at any LFS? -
If this place is at Chua Chu Kang, then the $0.50 is actually for the transport that you take from Chu Chu Kang MRT. This is only a one way fare, on returning from Farmmart, if you need to take their transport, it will be any $0.50. This $0.50 will be rebate back if you purchase $5 or more at some of the store. So if you did not buy anything and you take their transport to and fro, you are actually paying $1 to see the fish. If you are going there on your own, I don't think they will charge you. I have been there like 1 month back. Anyway this place is not a must to go, skip it even if you have free time

so the best choice will be fernleaf/feather caulerpa? Any difficulty in keeping them alive? Will it be affected by high phosphate and nitrate? When you say high nitrate, how high are you refering to? <20ppm, <50ppm? -
oops.... something must be wrong with my browser, sorry my faults I am able to see the pictures.

Fishes always come in on Thursday night, just in case the rest is not aware. Yesterday they have corals coming in as well, was told by Sam to go down today to have a look. Those that I bought at Marinelife has red legs, very nice, but too bad only 1 survive. My hermit crabs is really tearing the algae as most of the brown algae grown just above the sand level. Well maybe you are right, they are trying to get out of the water at times
-
I have bought those hermit at Marinelife, but 2 of them died But I think the one at Sealife is very active in eating the algae. Very often I can see them trying to climb up the glass wall to scrap the brown algae to eat. Maybe because these hermit are found in our nearby region, not so fussy, those at Marinelife, from Hawaii, very fussy. I almost bought the big one, it has white spot on its orange leg, very cool, but find it too big for my tank. If you want nice shell, goto Jurong point, there is a shop that sell very nice shells indivually or you could goto Ikea, there is a shop also sells a pack of shell, inside it, you shold be able to find some nice one. I will be going to sealife tonight, will see if they have any more left.

AT, I got you now. You are refering to my durso pipe and not my skimmer pipe well will just have to seal up a bit of the hole then. But I do not see anything wrong with the water level above it, well if the inventor say so, I will do it -

Guys, i have a empty compartment in my sump, was thinking of putting some live rocks. Does that need a light to be on for the live rock? These are for filtration purpose. Another thought will be putting culerpa for nutrient export, but is these suitable for a bare bottom compartment with no sand? The culerpa will be put on top of the egg crate and with light on of course. Plesae advised, thanks. -
Bluebeard, I was at Sealife on Sunday and bought 3 small orange hermit crab, there is still about 10 left, did you see those when you purchase your big hermit crab?
-
AT, do I killed them like what people did for aiptasia? Injecting Kalk at high concentration level?
-
AT, in what way are the rock anemonies consider a pest? They kill coral?
