guys, I believe that is alot of RC shop in Singapore that sell the boat propeller, so why you need to go to great distance to get it? There is a building(I think it is the very old Safe superstore) opposite the Red Star resturant that house a few RC shops, just pop in there and ask, they should have the boat propeller for you.

Recommendation for fine sand
clowntrigger replied to Limpc's topic in New to the Marine Aquaria Hobby
I was at C328 yesterday and happen to find a sand that I think is #0 that is selling few shop away from C328. The sand is not beige in colour(normal coral sand colour), but more towards grey white. It is definetly smaller than #1, from the look and feel of it, more like fine sugar. If you are near that place, take a look at it, it is selling in 5KG pack. As for the price, I did not ask. -

Does Flatworm grow to 1 inch or more?
clowntrigger replied to clowntrigger's topic in General Reefkeeping_
I did a search and find that the creatures that is in my tank look something like these http://www.sgreefclub.com/forums/index.php...=flatworm&st=15 but the color is actually the same as the coraline algae, if you dont look closely, you will never spot it. Is that harmful? -
Anyone knows where to buy PL light?
clowntrigger replied to souphamster's topic in New to the Marine Aquaria Hobby
I get what you mean, it is 2 set of PL light for $30. If I am not wrong, your housing can only hold one pl tube only, anyway they cannot be seperate even though they seem to be 2 separate light tube connect via 4 connector. Hope you are not confuse -
Hi Guys Recently I find out that there is a creatures that resemble like a flatworm, but it is about 1-1.5 inch in length. The colour of the creatures is the colour of the coraline algae, it blend in very well with the rocks. As for the surface textures, it look like it have armour on it. Anyone can confirm if that is a flatworm? As for pic, not for the time being, still waiting for it to appear again. The last time I see it is at 5am last week...

Anyone knows where to buy PL light?
clowntrigger replied to souphamster's topic in New to the Marine Aquaria Hobby
you could get the PL light at nature Aquarium at Thomson. Go for the 10000K ones, it will make your tank looks nice. If I am not wrong, your PL tube is a 36W one and the length should be 16 inch. The last time I heard, they are selling 2 36W 10000K PL tube at $30, that is cheap.. -
Coralife Airstone can be bought at MarineLife at west coast and Sealife at Balestier. Call them up and check if they still have stock....

BTW, #1 is out of stock for the time being they say it will only be available at the end of the months. Aiyah, just come back from 2 weeks ICT..... Well my tank is ok for the time being, but battling on high nitrate... Have added macro algae to the sump, so now waiting for it to take effect... How long does one has to wait before any reduction is notice? Better not stray the topic too much.. -

It depend on how you would like to stack your rocks. I am having a 4x2x2.5 and I have 55KG of rock. Only one side of the tank is stack almost about 2 ft high, while the other end is sloping down. I would suggest you make a rock stacker and that will save you abit on the LR. To start with, I would suggest 40KG of LR with LR stackers. -
If you could get hold of coralife wooden airstone, go for it. The outcome is much better than the sanders one. I have long discard the use of sander one after I used Coralife.

Questions about cycling.
clowntrigger replied to BlueTerror's topic in New to the Marine Aquaria Hobby
Hi BT, let me help to answer your question.. 1. Once you added your first fish, I believe they will be gone. Yes they are part of the cycling, I have gotten them also in my cycling, if you don't like it, just use a algae cleaner and clean it off. 2. Hair algae and Diatoms are common even after your cycle, The only to judge you cycle is over is when NH3 and NO2 has peak and reduced to 0 and your NO3 has reduced, in your case, you will need to know whether has your NH3 and NO2 has occur or not. What do you use for cycling and how long has it been cycle? Note, the number of days does not equal to the status of cycling, just a gauge for people to see if things are happening the right sequence. 3. I think the dirt are shit by the organism living in the rocks or from the snail. They will always be there, no matter how clean you have clean it. What you could do is to have strong current blowing at the rock so that these detrius will be floating and caught by your mechnical filter Hope I have answer you question well... -
those bug crawling are pods, good for the tank.... As for your Nitrate, what test kit are you using? What kind of filtration are you using? There should be some trace of NO3 at the end of the cycle, if I am not wrong..

valleyman, actinic blue is not 10000k, but if you used all 10000k, you should have the all white plus a bit blueish effect. True actinic PL are very expensive, I think locally, only Corallife has it and it cost $50 for a 36W PL, hope this help.
-
dodo, I am no expert in FL, in fact I am using PL light I believe by past experience that I get to these conclusion. I am using 2 6500k and 2 actinic, and I have got the blueish hue, I like that. If you are looking for 50/50, I belive ZooMed has it and it is available at Sealife, was there yesterday and I saw the 50/50. BTW there is alot of new fishes at Sealife, Redsea and Bali.
-
Valleyman, be careful if you use 4x6500k, your tank will look very yellowish in colour. Do mix with a piece of acitinic or go with 4x10000k.
-
are these white worm sticking on the glass? If yes, just leave it there or use a algae cleaner and clean it. When I first setup my tank, i have lots of these sticking on the glass, after sometime, it just goes away.

Valleyman 1250 pumps out 1200l/hr 1060 pumps out 2280l/hr for more info, go to http://www.eheim.com/

that is the most inovative skimmer I ever seen, but if you look at the skimmate, it is very light brown in color and very much water, which means, it is not very efficient at all. I am impress by the thought though.
