  1. Gorgeous alpha male rosy-scaled fairy wrasses and bipartitus leopard wrasse at Iwarna
  2. There are many brands out there. Maybe you would like to take a look at others' tank build and see how their pump fit their system Personally I'm using Fluval Sea and it's nothing short of fantastic. Really worth the buck for its durability and flow rate
  3. Ideally, turnover rate of a normal reef tank should be ~10x of your total volume Therefore, I would suggest TS get a pump which is more suitably rated (4000-5000lph) Any less you run the risk of the rate of overflow is greater than your return which results in the drainage of your DT Also, to increase circulation and flow in the display, one should make use of wave makers instead of relying on the return pump(learned the hard way) Just my two cents worth;)
  4. Item found. Mods please assist to close thread Thanks
  5. Haven't seen it appearing in Caribbean Shipments for awhile now..
  6. Will throw in a blue Xenia frag for the buyer

  8. 2 pieces of porous LR for sales at $20 Both has lots of hitchhikers tubeworms and one of it has some hitchhiker GSP. Coralline algae starting to encrust. Please PM me to deal. Self collect at Havelock Road
  9. http://www.bcaquaria.com/forum/aq-led-90/zetlight-qmaven-zt6600-zt6500-updated-new-product-53610/ Some reference material which I found online http://www.3reef.com/forums/3reef-radar/up-close-zetlight-q-maven-led-fixtures-149709.html#.Uo9vTuKYwmE A review done by a zetlight user on 3Reef
  10. Envy much! Missed the last blue squamosa shipment
  11. No. Kalk is purely Calcium hydroxide (CaOH) It dissociates to form OH ions which maintains alk. I think the amount of Ca it dissociate is also negligible. You can run a search on RC. Apparently, brightwell is founded by the owner of Kent Marine. Having said, I think Kalk is still Kalk in the end. It's a good and cheap method of maintaining alk and Ca levels if you know how to use it

  13. I'll be looking forward for rubricaudalis! IMO it's the most gorgeous of all the flashers which are obtainable. The red coloration on the caudal fin and dorsal filament is what differentiates it from the rest of the flashers Yes, I did a search and found that it was offered back in 2010..-.-
  14. Paracheilinus attenuatus! Yes, they appear on LADD quite often. I would say that they are uncommon in the US. Do you have any information on P.rubricaulidis? This is a tough nut to crack. Somehow, even attenuatus is more regularly often than this fella! I suppose its due to the fact that Vanuatu only has a single wholesaler, sadly:(
  15. Interesting hybrid on LADD. Genicanthus melanospilos X lamarck/bellus http://www.liveaquaria.com/diversden/ItemDisplay.cfm?c=2733+3&ddid=207524
  16. Hi bro, I have no knowledge of the zetlight ZT6600 but I'm currently running a ZT3600 over my 2ft tank. I can say that the output is quite good and with 5 adjustable channels stimulating various times of the day, I think it's quite worth my buck. That being said, I haven't used a maxspect before so I cannot comment much on how it compares and I would strongly advise you to physically take a look at how each fixture lights up the aquarium instead. Of course, it would be good to compare on the forums but at the end of the day, each user will say their fixture is the best etc. HAHA Hope that helps:)
  17. They are all polychaete worms http://www.thereeftank.com/forums/f6/bristle-worms-and-fire-worms-122088.html
  18. It's actually fine bristles on their body getting stuck on your skin which causes irritation
  19. Striped one is a pistol shrimp. Second batch mostly are bristleworms, they can be good or bad, depends on how you see it
  20. Just a cautionary note. This species is known to be more nippy on corals than the matted filefish which is known to eat aiptasia. Particularly prone are those corals that are fleshy and most clams.
  21. Bro, you've got yourself a bobbit worm! Lucky you managed to fish it out. It's a menace and nightmare of many amateur and professional reefers alike.
