  1. i think all these type of sand the is the same... Unless u are talking about live sand...
  2. Erm,i don't quite understand this part, can u rephrase it?? IMO,the quality is the same unless u really noe how to differentiate them... Cheers
  3. Way to go BH,another success in the making of ur tank.Hope someday that your tank can be as prominent in SRC as those more experienced reefers out there Keep it up Cheers, Vel
  4. Its those chopped up ones you get from the market lah....
  5. I upzzzz ur sales for u man!!!! Better get rid of the leather B4 it ur tank....
  6. Actually a hood is not really necessary. Get some T5s from HV or DE that suits your tank and your $$
  7. Yea,u are rite In fact u don't have to get so many ADDITIVES,you just have to drip kalk into your tank and it will raise pH,kH and maintain Ca levels
  8. I don't think its dying its just that it is bleached, BTW,wad lights are you using, maybe placing the bubbles onto a brighter place or lowly light place may help
  9. Hmm,seems like your friend's bubble has bleach... The brown stringy substances are expelled zooxantelle(sorri for the spelling).. Corals either produce these substances when they have too much of these or when the have not enough lights Anyway, you posted this question in the wrong forum Cheers
  10. How many skunks shrimps do you have in your tank. I currently only has one and it eats market prawns that i offer but it usually only stays on the underside of a rock. So what i suspect is that they feel safer when there are partners around, but i have also heard that these shrimps will often kill newly added ones.
  11. Skip the coral chips and bio balls.. Build a refugium instead and add in chemical filtration.
  12. i am currently keeping one but sadly it got HLLE.. IMO,very easy to keep as long as you feed it well.
  13. I think he's meaning the new branches of the coral
  14. Wah,BH,your tank is really doing very well Keep up the good job bro.
  15. Its not stings, its their little bristle that gets embedded into your skin upon contact and hence the name bristleworm.... Anyway, these are good worms that help in your sandbed but i am not meaning these LARGE ones
  16. wad you need is good lights and maintain your Ca levels in the 400ppm range
  17. i think for 4ft you have to use 8 tubes of T5 HO or maybe more if you intend to go full sps,and you definitely need chilling for sps
  18. No,u cannot Tubes have a wider spread while MHs are point-sourced
  19. I think its because your lightings are not enough or u have things that graze on coralline
