  1. Willing to trade the above with any invert/CUC of similar value. I'm willing to top up on my side for uncommon inverts/ any frags as well. Size is about 1 inch. Self collect at Havelock Road. Drop me a message at 92221037 to discuss. Cheers!
  2. Gotta thank you for the rocks. Luckily it was right time at the right place! Love those tubeworms and the porosity of the rocks. If you've actually noticed, I inverted the large piece on the right upright instead. Doing so opens up more area for fish/inverts to maneuver, something which makes viewing more interesting. I found that zanzibaricus are the more docile of the lot and they stay small. Their purple head also makes it more appealing as you don't usually find many reefsafe crustaceans which are reef-safe. Keeping my fingers crossed to spotted them one day.
  3. As above, selling 1x Deltec KM500 Kalkwasser Stirrer. Selling at cost price which I bought from a reefer 2 months ago, $200. No warranty given but equipment have been tested by me when I bought it over. Stirrer rod is working perfectly. All cleaned up and ready to go. Reason for selling: Not justified for my tank volume and wish to drip manually instead. It will be a good piece of instrument for those with 3ft or above tanks and wish to supplement their dosage. Interested parties please leave me a message at 92221037. Thanks!
  4. Update: I have mounted my Zetlight LED. Just waiting for the hanging kit to be shipped in before I can hang it. In the meantime, its just sitting on the top of the tank. Anyway, its equally fabulous. http://s1059.photobucket.com/user/daybreaks91/media/DSC_00722.jpg.html'> A top-down shot that I attempted while feeding just now. Over the weekend, I have added a few pioneer livestock, the more prominent ones are the 2x green banded gobies which I bought. They are slowly accepting frozen mysis. I have also added 2x Stenopus tenuirostris which I have been unable to locate ever since I introduced them Also trying my hands at a hammer coral, which can also serve as a host for the various shrimps which I will intend to add later on. But the one thing that is very irritating is that the grade 0 sand which I'm using is constantly been disturbed by my tunze nanostream. If there was a choice, I wouldn't might doing a switch to live sand but its crazy work to siphon all of it out. http://s1059.photobucket.com/user/daybreaks91/media/DSC_0076.jpg.html'>
  5. I found it unpaired.. Do you think they would pair up with a Alpheus randalli?
  6. Weird. Google gave me a "y" instead of "n" Anyway, there was only 1 piece and I grabbe it hoping that its something different from the rest of the shrimp goby.
  7. Tomiyamichthys oni This is the best ID I can come up with. Not really in the best of shape, but I hope to be able to nurse it back to its prime! Will update more later!
  8. Lemon is waiting for mega shipment only! I thought the crosshatch pair belongs to you:D Hahaha
  9. Oh my god. Thanks for the advice bro, you even went to the extent of putting up a photo for reference. I'm using a Kalk stirrer actually. Haven't started dosin but just want to take reference. Thanks a lot for the aid!
  10. Nice green lantern you have there. How are you dosing your kalk? What's the concentration you're dosing?
  11. Unique looking shrimp! Are they all living in your refugium?!?! Or are you intending to keep non-shrimp safe species in your DT?
  12. Apogon hoeveni Nice yellow cardinalfish! http://www.reeflex.net/tiere/3253_Apogon_hoeveni.htm
  13. Backflow is the suction created when your return pump gone case. Some cases can result in flooding of your sump if the sump is not properly designed for drainage
  14. Adding water to salt will cause the precipitation of some elements, which is not desirable. Therefore, adding salt to water is much more feasible
  15. Added cured live rocks, and powered up the skimmer, Its still breaking in,but the micro-bubbles are so fine due to the bubble plate feature! One of the reasons why I chose this model http://s1059.photobucket.com/user/daybreaks91/media/DSC_0094.jpg.html'> Rockscape wise, I'm trying my best.Hahaha. Wanted to create some sort of open lagoon but the dimensions of my tank and the size of the LR does not permit. More likely a crevice of some sort. Oh well, time to showcase those cryptic nano fish! http://s1059.photobucket.com/user/daybreaks91/media/DSC_0092.jpg.html'> Will be spending my Friday night adding the sand in, grade 0 coral sand, using leftovers from previous decom. I think things may get alittle cloudy and should be expecting some sandstorm. Also, tested the parameters right after adding the rocks,(abit kan chong). NH4: 0 ppm NO2: 0 ppm NO3: 5ppm I guess the cycle hasn't kicked off yet, shall test again tomorrow
  16. I spy GF pipes! What skimmer is that? Good to see more people coming in to appreciate the beauty of marine aquarium keeping! Wish you all the best in your setup!
  17. The water is from Iwarna. Ammonia and nitrite I'm using API test kits. Nitrate I'm using Salifert. pH is Sera while the rest are D-D H2O.
  18. Just filled my tank with NSW this morning and tested the params. Specific Gravity: 1.021 pH: 8.5 NH4: 0 ppm NO2: 0 ppm NO3: 5 ppm kH: 7.6dkH Ca: 420ppm Mg: 1280ppm. Salinity is a little on the low side. Wondering whether I should bump it up with salt mix at this point of time?
  19. Thanks for the encouragement Lemon. I'm absolutely astounded by the contributions on the rare fish thread and your plethora of knowledge on various species of fish as well! Yeah, I hope the prices would've stayed the same too, either that or be comparable to their Lolitia counterparts. IMO, gobies wouldn't be overly priced unless you're talking about those amazingly newly discovered species?
  20. Bro, Xmas present! hahaha, I very much hope that it can be my first occupant of this tank though!
