  4. Almost wiinning the battle with cyano due to new tank syndrome.(they come in ~4th month mark for me) Adjustments I made to combat it includes: Reduced photoperiod. Weekly water changes. Changing from dry to wet skimming. Bi-weekly changing of filter-socks to eliminate detritus buildup in the sock Sucking out the cyano layers during water changes. Lastly, have a reliable CUC:) Do bear in mind that cyano is a bacteria and not an algae, therefore, there are recommendations to use antibiotics to combat it (Maracyn/Erythromycin). However, when using such antibiotics, one gotta bear in mind that you might be killing off some other bacteria as well. I'd suggest it as a last resort or not at all;)
  5. http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_display.cfm?c=15+2971+220&pcatid=220 If you're referring to the above, it's relatively obtainable. I've seen them in the gobies tank at the back rows of fish tanks at Ah Beng's too. They are sand-sifters so recommended to have a matured sandbed!

  8. I managed to achieve 0 TDS with this unit. slow drip is the key,and also let the water run through the resin ~1/2hr before use. Do you have a photo of the metal connector? Mine tends to leak in the form of small drips whenever I on the tap. Its leaking from the part connecting the hose to the plastic connector.
  9. Looking for the above mentioned. As long as in working condition and magnetic sides are fine. Preferably in west/central area. Please whatsapp/sms 92221037. Thank you!
  10. Visual wise; corals look better. Parameters wise, all those that I am able to test are mostly still in the same range. Other stuff which normal hobbyists don't test I am not really sure as I don't test them as well. However, as with filtered drinking water, you don't really know what you are topping up into your aquarium unless you have a full analysis of the water(which I don't think the companies would be able to provide)
  11. I used to top up with diamond energy water. I never looked back since I got a DI Unit.

  14. Looking for gold/metallic green torch corals. Does anyone have any idea if Iwarna's recent Aussie shipment has them?
  15. Ups. It's the fish on the left in the photo. A good alternative to six lined wrasses as it has a better temperament and is not as territorial.
  16. Have decided to keep the smaller one. Selling off the 1.5inches one at $40. Photo as attached.
  17. Size is ~1.5inches and ~1 inch respectively. Unsure whether its a mated pair. Selling both at 90 dollars. Would prefer to sell them off together. Fish have yet to be caught.Interested parties please WA me at 92221037 for reservations and then I will make arrangements to catch them. Thanks!
