I'm observing it more now. looks like the nipping stops but instead of staying in the middle it's trying to squeeze into the side of the anemone and causes it to close up. I might just remove the maroon clown and get a tomato or common clown, hopefully they will appreaciate it better.

I introduce a bubble tip anemone into my tank today and instead of living on it my maroon crown is nipping on it. Is this normal when I first introduce the anemone into the tank? I'm afraid the crown will stress out the anemone with his nipping. Should I remove the crown? Thanks. Kevin

Thanks for the info Fuel. The LSF I went to had 3 different type of anemone in a tub. All 3 arrived today. Am interested in the bubble tip but now am not sure if I should get it now since I'm new and not sure if I can handle the weakened anemone. Thanks

Hi Ben, I'm new in this forum but after reading your thoughts on anemone. I'll like to ask what sort of current and lighting does a bubble tip anemone prefered? I'm trying to get an anemone for my crown fish. Thanks. Kevin
