Hi, I am going to decommision my ~10 months old 2' set-up due to moving house . Well, have to move on anyway. Upgrading soon Below are the items for sale: (Live Stocks not for sale) Main Tank: 2'x1.5'x1' DIYed Tank Hood Sump: DIYed, 2'x1'x1', with 18W PL lights for Macro Algae. Light: Atman 150W with 14,000 k bulb (bulb is ~4 month old), 36W Blue PL (magnetic ballast removed and use externally) WI Stand: A little bit rusty, advise buyer to touch-up/re-paint, or best of all, get a new one. Live Rocks: ~ 16 kg, Coraline Algae Encrusted Live Sand (if u want them) 2x DIY Over-flow Pipes: currently handling one Rio 20HF and one Sicce Suprema return (~6000 l/h, with head lost probably still well above 4000 l/h) 2x Loc-Lines No Protein Skimmer or Return Pump (just get a RIO 20HF or something, plug and play). Prefer to sell as a set. Good for newbie who is into Nano. Please offer your price via PM. Those who are interested in individual item can PM me ur offer. Hi Reefers, I am currently looking for a used Refractometer, RHS-10 or other brand also okay (of course need to be in good condition ). Also looking for a used chiller that is in good condition and resonably priced. Am looking for one that is suitable for 2 feet cube. Don't mind considering 1/2 hp ones (so can upgrade to larger tank next time ). Trying to find good 2nd hand chiller made by Teco/Daiel/Hailea/Fish Cooler/Artica/RR. So offer from kind reefers who own such chillers and in the process of getting a new one for the up-coming HOT days in June-July are most welcome. Alternatively, Resun/Atman that're dirt cheap also can Also need a used 150W MH bulb that can last for 3-4 months. Upgrading to 250W but my current bulb is almost die liaoz.. so need one for temporary solution. Anyone have the above items to let go please PM me ur offer. Thanks in advance.

Impeller is not under warranty.. Mine had the same problem.. end up have to change the whole impeller.. btw is ur impeller stuck inside the housing or ur shaft stucked inside ur impeller. Mine is the latter case. I forced out the shaft only to find that, due to some unknown reason, the hole for the shaft became some how smaller than the shaft diameter... Bio-Ocean do carry RIO 20HF imperller, call them first to check if they have stock. They can order for u.

I have the similar experience with bro ervine too... been running gravity feed method for several months, never be able to seal the container completely. So end up the result is not so good, not realiable as it failed on me twice, so ended up with another method which is more reliable. I used a electronic timer and a pump to set up a auto-top up system, works wonder since then. Yes, it will work. Try to make sure that there isn't much air trapped inside the chamber. (little bit still okay, but if a lot then the pump can't work - it's designed to push water, not air; so the key is to get water into its chamber before starting the pump

Bro, What robin said is right. Eheim 1260 impeller design (and most pumps available in LFS) does not eqquip it with suction power. It needs water to be present in the impeller chamber first before it can operate. So you need to prime it, by using a pump as robin mentioned, or using some other method. If I remember correctly all centrifugal pumps' impellers do not have suction power, they can only push water up to certain height (given by the pump rated Head, in meter or feet), if there's water in its chamber. Low pressure area will be generated once water in the pump chamber is pushed up from its outlet, and this create a suction power that enable more water to be sucked into the impeller chamber - that explain why once the pump is started, it can suck water without problem. Cheers. p/s: Some pump impellers are designed to suck water, but it's quite rare amongst those available in LFS.
