Hi guys I need some help here I just introduce a small blue tang..2cm in size Thereafter..I notice white spots appearing on the blue tang and my old adult yellow tang also has white spots appearing. Whereas the rest of fish so far no white spots. 1) when I got the blue tang..it was perfectly healthy. Why suddenly white spots appear? 2) will they self heal? If yes, what are the chances. All are feeding well as of now 3) I do not have a quarantine tank. How can I cure it? I know medication will affect my corals and shrimps Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app

I'm using a RODI component in this manner: 5 micro -> carbon -> 10 micron -> 75g membrane -> DI Maybe I should replace with 2 carbon instead? My DI should be well packed in. Mine supposed to be 4 stage but I add on another tumbler with DI to make it 5 stage. Btw I an using a RODI meant for drinking water but that should work too instead of using a aquarium aquarium RODI? Torches dying after lowering phosphate using Rowaphos
Dennerle replied to Dennerle's topic in General Reefkeeping_
Thanks all! I really think my torches will never come back. Now I am just seeing skeleton. And I think I shocked my system too much by using alot of rowa suddenly. I used to have manageable issue but things get worst when I intro rowa ..maybe nutrient imbalances. Further aggravated by when I dose vibrant once a week. Now my tank is super dirty in terms of my rock alot of dust. Perhaps some algae is dying off causing the dust look. Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app -
It's dead. The flesh has came out and float till nowhere to be found. Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app

I need urgent advice here. I have 1 hammer, 1 frogspawn and 2 torches. Recently I have use alot of Rowaphos and thereafter, caused 1 of my torch and 1 frogspawn to die and only left the skeleton. 1 more torch seems to be dying coz the flesh starts retreating. Although left skeleton, I'm hoping they are not dead and will rise some day. What could be wrong? Here are my water paramters: Temp: 25 to 26 degree Celsius SG: 35ppt Alkalinity: 9 dKH Calcium 400 ppm Nitrate: 10 ppm Phosphate: 0.06 Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app

May i know the reason the need of skimmer when carbon dosing? Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app -
Hi all A quick question if I can keep sps with nitrate 25 ppm and phosphate 0.13 ppm? I am having 2ft tank and recently installed phosphate reactor with rowaphos and seeing good result of phosphate being reduced. No space for protein skimmer to bring down nitrate but I have been dozing red sea nopox Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app

Should request the manufacturer for 1 for 1 exchange instead of throwing away! You actually have a big blue container to contain rodi water? Omg! That containers eats up alot of space! Where u got it and how much? Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app

Green goniopora polyps lying on the sandbed
Dennerle replied to Dennerle's topic in General Reefkeeping_
When I got it , it did not cover with white patches. It has been striving well for past few months with extensions. My water parameters seems all good and its quite sudden I see this. I heard gonio needs to be fed. Could this be reason? Any chance it will recover and revive if moving to other areas? Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app -
