  1. SPF cars are never modified. What for we need modifications?? if we cannot catch the speeder... its ok... thats what number plates are for!!! juz call back-up... set up road block.... we can even catch a speeding Zonda.... singapore not that big for you to run away also....

even if u manage to run away today... what makes you think you can run away the next time?

you also will be surprised at how effective is our ISD (Internal Secruity Department.).... the very same guys who identified all the Singapore JI members....

If you look at the lampposts on most expressways now, there are a LOT of video cameras installed... almost one every three or four lampposts. Road traffic condition monitoring? Bull***t. Why do we need overlapping cameras for that? Must be ISD installing a spy network on the x-ways... :fear:

  2. Photoshop? Are you sure? No offense here bro, but i'm just sad that many ppl just assume something is fake just because they have never seen it before, or because they believe they can replicate something with photoshop. No offense here again.

haha yeah. "Frog in the well".

  3. Strange... all the people who wans to beat him up... how come until now still no report of dat happening!

Anyway, this clip is actually mimicking another fat guy who did a similar clip... same song, same stupid action... I tink he tinks that this would give him lotsa of publicity...

he's actually trying to copy a very popular online video that has been going on for awhile.

  4. You cannot use the argument that there is already gambling in Singapore to justify bringing in a casino. The problem with a casino is that it is a purpose-built environment to feed gamblers' excitement and the desire to try their luck, with the idea that the next throw of the dice will erase all your past losses. In addition, the easy provision of credit will allow people who are already "high" and not thinking about their losses to walk over and borrow more money before walking back to the table to gamble, all under the same roof. :nuke:

The idea of an entrance fee, no-credit to locals and other supposed regulations are fanciful ideas. You think after spending $5 billion building casinos, if the locals aren't coming in large numbers, the casino operators will not lean on the govt to relax the rules? If the Govt can force the people to accept a casino despite all the public outcry, how easy will it be to dispense with all these entry requirements somewhere down the road, maybe even just one year later? Studies have shown that ALL casinos that are successful internationally need a large proportion of local gamblers to sustain business. Local in this case = Singaporeans spending hard earned money at the expense of their families. :(

It is easy to look at the "economic argument" (how many jobs, how much money will be spent building the place etc etc) but in reality it is much more complex. The intangible economic cost (loss in productivity, money spent in casino rather than other sectors of economy etc) plus the social cost might just be more than the benefit. In truth, SINGAPOREANS LEAD TOO COMFORTABLE A LIFE. We cannot imagine what a broken society even looks like, and we think we can manage a casino, a sanitized gaming resort. Nonsense. Everything is inter-related and we are bringing in something far different from the other risky ventures we have done in the past.

Time will tell how this goes. Let's all pray that Singapore doesn't become a crime-ridden nation led by a corrupt Govt who only have $$$ on their minds. <_<

The above-mentioned comments r made purely in my humble opinion. No political, religious, or whatsoever agenda were intended, but if politicians want to read this and take notice and take action or whatever just go ahead. :nuke:

  5. most of them have been indoctrinated (brainwashed) from young in extremist schools and taught to kill in the name of their religion. to us, it seems like craziness to be suicidal, but imagine you grew up isolated from the rest of the world and told your mission in life is to die gloriously killing evil men, i guess you would be more willing to do such things. :(

  6. third that :P

think we should just note the incident and learn from it (ie don't anyhow chin chai and trust strangers then later regret)

However, posting the nick wouldn't be helpful as

    - person can just log in with a new nick

    - no offence to thread starter, this incident is one person's point of view. if we start flaming ppl becos of one-sided stories, who knows the next thread we will see is "xxxxxxx person cheated me, dun deal with him" etc etc when actually the story might be false.

so my sympathies to the NS boy and i hope some good things happen to him soon to help him get over this incident, but let's not start posting nicks unless a lot of people come forward and attest that one particular person has been doing underhanded things. :peace:

  8. Some of the photos seems fake and edited, especially this one.

nah, i'm pretty sure they're all real. Been to Japan, seen the atrocious english. There was also an article in the papers a few years ago about how they were trying to clean up the bad english in time for Korea/Japan World Cup 2002, but it was so widespread that a lot got missed out.

  9. recently had just started a new tank, throw in some LR from my previous tank (LR had been running for more than 1 year). Sand is also used one from reefer who claims that it's mixed with aragonite type...I also transfer some coral chips for my sump from my previous tank.

started running using marine environment seasalt on last thur while added LR over the weekend then threw in a market prawn on monday..today came home and did a test for NH, it reads 0 and tested for NO2 also 0...

Is it possible that tank had already cycled so fast??

You might not need to do much cycling if you have transplanted mature rocks and coral chips, which already contain denitrifying bacteria. Thus, your ammonia and nitrites do not get to build up because they are broken down quickly. Your tank might be cycled already by now.

Blackpuma's experience is the same as mine. Transplanting mature LRs and sand, my tank didn't need to be cycled for more than a few days. So far, it's been running for about five months and all LS are ok, fish and corals.
