When you give up things you love for her sake, e.g. football, reefing etc

I got close to 100 unbuild kit, PM me what you need.. all sort of brand.... all is 1/35, a few 1/25 and 2x1/16. Also got PE and Resin kit as well....
know what you mean... after I left school to go NS, got so many haven't fixed!!! don't think will ever go back to them...
-
Also thanks to xperiment626 and untouchables, I will try out the Latio too. Hopefully their sport model comes with manual gear too.
yah it does have manual. most important is you sit inside all three cars and press everything and ask salesman everything
i didn't want to buy latio at first, but after just one ride inside, i said "SOLD!" or something like that altis cannot even come close...

make sure you budget for furniture leh. they are big and costly. i got mostly secondhand stuff for my home, since i don't really mind. there's this place in kampong ampat, mcpherson area, that buys hotel and service apartment stuff. go and have a look if you are interested. i think you will be quite amazed at what they have. they used to be my main supplier when i was involved in this line.
yah i have a friend whose home is almost entirely furnished from this second-hand dealer. some amazing looking stuff that hotels throw out!!
as for rollers for cupboards etc, i suggest get those doors that hang down, with rollers on the top only. Rollers at the bottom tend to collect dust after a while and become really hard to move, and squeak really badly too.
you might want to avoid getting the squirt-squirt thing considering your budget and the fact that it takes up extra space in the toilet.

ldrhawke... your tank is very cool! love the curved shape and layout of the rocks.

I am selling off my entire marble collection....
-
tangs need a lot of space and will generally be very territorial... purple tang is one of the most aggressive. unless you're pretty attached to him i suggest you get rid of him. i sold mine when it kept chasing just about everyone else in the tank.

HONDA!!!!! lol
If budget allows go for civic 1.7 manual.... power, trust me.
win lor... so many people say honda... but gouldian looking for economical car, good for kid at the back, and presentable to boss and clients (read N-O-T-B-E-N-G). ppl keep suggesting "power" and "17 inch rims"... sighzzz

recently... being hounded by this bucnh of gers who think keeps mistaking me for brad pitt.....

I also tried those "purple" vegi, probably what Noddy described. But only my hermit take them.
I'm still looking for "green" dried seaweed. Those used for sushi skin one all got spiced or seasoned one.
Is there really got pure green dried seaweed? Mind to post a picture?
not home at the moment or i would post a pix. been using NTUC nori for months now, tangs can't get enough you must check the ingredients carefully. the ones they bring in are covered with Jap words, but the ingredients are translated into english. you should see "roasted seaweed" or something like that, but without "salt, seasoning" etc etc. Can definitely find non seasoned type if you go to the larger NTUCs or Cold Storage, Giant, etc

for latio sports, which i find it better looking that others in its category and fc friendly. big and roomy interior as well.
just bought a black latio sports a month ago. really in love with it. great pickup (car review magazine said that can beat mazda 3 in a straight sprint) and so far fuel economy is way better than the crappy old sunny becos of a new 1.5L aluminium engine. keyless ignition, ioniser aircon, reclining+movable rear seats, extremely roomy. and the interior looks a bit like the megane, pretty luxurious and well-toned colour. did i mention the alcantara seats??
of cos, the latio sedan looks like a pregnant cow so i got the sports instead, and in black to disguise the hearse-like shape
i'm using CVT which is powerful and convenient, but suppose Gouldian will still prefer the manual.
tried out many cars before buying, including the lancer and altis. not impressed at all. very cramped compared to the latio. in addition, the altis is not only overpriced, the interior looks like sh*t, especially the wood panelling from thailand.

Anyway .. I just dumped in the LR .. and while fiddling with it a GIANT SPIDER looking thing crawled out and went under the one of the rocks !!!!!! You can imagine the fastest manuever I ever did with my hands !!!!
does it look like this? if so, it is a sally light foot crab. Generally reef safe, good for clearing algae

Dry skimming can be concentrated froth or diluted and black, try feeding them to your potted plants and see what happens... you won't be disappointed. It was found that black dry skimmate contains a very high of N and P, something like in 4500 ppm N and 250 ppm P
erm, isn't this stuff going to harm your plants because of the high sodium content? not sure if you can just dump it on normal garden plants...

Looks like photoshopped. The lighting is too bright and even. No shadows in the corners or beneath the toilet fixtures...

ahahahah orbi good!!

will the dangling not discourages them from eating. Just like they have to chase up and down from the current blowing it until giddy
well my three blue tangs, yellow tang and flame angel have been *greedily* feeding like this for six months... have also seen this at a couple of LFS so it definitely works. whether you like the sight of something dangling in the water, that's different
-
think you need to give some more details like size of chiller or size of tank you are trying to cool.
-
i feed nori sheet every morning and that means having to touch the tank water which i dun quite like the idea of having the chances of contaminating the water.
is this unavoidable or anyone had a way to go about it?
i am using those white plastic clip with suction cup.
actually if you are using a plastic clip, don't use the suction cup. tie a fishing line from the clip to something outside the tank and let it dangle in the water. so you can just fish the clip out without immersing your hand in the water.

Hey check this out!!! Got this off Cnet Singapore.
Upgrade to digital cable TV
If you don't want to be restricted to recording only the channel you are watching, you will need to upgrade your StarHub cable to a digital service. The digital set-top box comes with a built-in function to switch channels, allowing users to set the recorder to tape programs from different channels automatically.
Update:
Alternatively, according to Starhub, households with connection A and B options on their cable TV wall socket can upgrade to connection B which will allow them to record on one channel while watching another. A technician will be sent down to change the set-top box. Installation charges may apply.
yeah but what is the difference in cost for the digital service? it might not be worth it if you only occasionally tape one channel and watch another...

errr i think the point is to let the corals grow there, not to have a convenient way to take more out of the ocean!!
-
No worries.
We are all here to share and learn.
eh like that you should just publish a "Idiot's Guide to Reefing". sure get rich one!
qazwer - SPS refers to "Small-polyped-stony" corals. The hardest type to keep but with the nicest colours. FOWLR means "Fish-only-with-live-rocks", ie a tank without corals, only fish.
go check out AT's reference list for terms you are not familiar with:
