  5. Hi hobby reefer, I’ll like to expand reef collection through trading the following... looking towards brighter color zoas/sps range or smaller reef safe fishes. Knowing my species is at lower value so will do some top up... 1. Green Zoas - 10 cent size with a small baby. 2. Green Muchroom - at least 20 cent size. 3. Fox Face - big n fat 7-8cm. Reduce bio load.
  6. Anyone like to let go, pm me. Thanks! Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
  7. Guess a video speak clearer than words, below it is where it start showing from mini dc pump (capable pump 3m high) till return to tank... https://www.dropbox.com/s/qyxfh93fn1smioh/IMG_4346.MOV?dl=0 1. If power stops pump will not push water upward and no siphon effect as above pipe wasn’t under water. 2. Only supply pipe may chocked and reduce water flow so no issue. Water return at much bigger opening. Only issue would be leakage at the joint between box and transparency sheet where it must be well sealed and design for manipulated flow. My recommendation is not to go with the water fall. For me just wanted to challenge my vision. [emoji23] Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app

  9. After a month, the aiptasia (single small bud) came back at same location... in the tank and in the mist of zoas. But haven’t seen it spread else where. Tried Salifert Exit again on both locations and it vanished. However zoas colony seem to be affected by this solution and has been weak/close for fees days now. Guess better way is to introduce peppermint shrimp on the next round. Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
  10. Thanks for input. I have made some move to remove the aiptasia as per below link. Guess peppermint shrimp might be better way forward as new aiptasia came back at similar spot... 14. Hi reefer, need advise here. There’s bug living in algae box... is it good or bad? Do I need to remove it? Video here... https://www.dropbox.com/s/dycqyn6e1c8utm9/Video%2029-12-20%2C%202%2038%2045%20PM.mov?dl=0 Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app

  17. Thanks for tip Indeco! Leads me rethink of QT tank. In that case, I’ll take this as spare tank and convert it into QT when needed. So in QT setup, how to manage fishes NO3 for 2weeks if there no cheato n with lesser media? Is it by daily water change? Is the treatment setup for new fish entry to main system similar to treating sick fish? Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
  18. Didn’t know there’s different solution around and good to know to switch off UV when using it. Thanks Clement for advice! Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
  19. Introducing my 20 litre Hospi Tank setup since Oct 2020, 2 mths plus. 1. DIY RGB 5050 120 LED/m 3 strip light connected to wifi smart switch. 2. DIY thermoelectric chiller connected to temp control set at 26 to 26.5 deg. 3. DIY - Chaeto in isolation box where cooled water pipe blow into. 4. Small filter unit that comes with tank. 5. Bacteria flower rock as landscape. 6. House blue damsel n snail since then. Verdict : 1. Light still not bright enough. Next round will try RGBW that consist of white led. 2. Chiller max can go to 24 deg. Great for Hospi Tank. 3. Chaeto is growing so that’s a good sign. 4. Small filter unit quite useless. May go for uv filter unit next. 5. Flower rock looks & working good. Keeping PO4 & NO3 low. 6. Power consumption for this tank sits avg 1.1kwh a day. So month equate to 33kwh which cost about $5.60/mth. Compare to my main tank with Hailea 28A sits at 2.5kwh daily equate to $12.70/mth. Not expert here so feel free to drop comments here. [emoji4] By the way, is it a must to add copper solution in QT?
