Hi bro, I encountered the same before and narrowed down to Brown Jelly Disease. This only affects euphyllias and from the available resources online, once affected it is hard to remove unless you cut off the affected part. I do not know if you are encountering the same issue but unfortunately there is no known cure for Brown Jelly (assuming you face same issue) Some remedies include dipping but results may vary. Hello all, I used to have this cheap plug which I got from a fellow reefer but unfortunately has died. Basically the protein skimmer would only work when the water level hit a certain level. Without going expensive route like Apex and all, does anyone have a cheaper alternative (also other than DD skimmer security which is expensive) similar to the picture. Hi, I am by no means an expert. But I would recommend a drop in chiller instead of the conventional aquarium chiller. The key considerations for drop in is due to size of your tank, a normal chiller will take some time to cool your tank. Add on sound (depending on chiller model) and heat given off by chiller, the chiller placement is also important as you do not want the heat of the chiller to affect your tank. Hi all, Need advice for those who have successfully treated fish with ich. The fish is a Powder Brown Tang and have been with me close to 3 months. Can see early stages of ich on the side of the body. Other fishes have not exhibited any signs. I read that once a fish has ich, it would not go away from the DT. I intend to treat things one at a time. If I can remove the fish and treat in a separate tank, what medications are recommended? Also what should I use/put in the QT tank?
