ah...finally...the dispars r eating...the food that got them started was cyclopeeze now they also eat bbs remember i mentioned getting 2 males and one female?...wel...one of the males is morphing into a female so i'm sure the social integrety is intact diatoms also appearing EVERYWHERE!....fortuantely i haf rowaphos to prevent a fast outbreak...compared to the first invasion of them in my 4footer, this time its much slower...will get snails and a sand star tomorrow from farm!

gd to hear so manyt people sae dispars r easy but i'm still worried over the fact that my dispars haven't been eating for 2daes while in betta box, 2days after being released into my tank and they spent 3 in the shop so they ahven't been eating for a total of a week. how long can they survive without food? i've tried flakes, pellets, mysis, brine, cyclopeeze but nothing works. gd thing is they dun hide...alwaes swimming around...they only hide wen i get close to the tank to feed ani ideas to get them to eat?

yup...its in a area of gd water flow let me clarify once again that i did not say sponges need lights.i simply believe its the bluer mh that i haf employed that makes it look more vibrant in colour.

i think it appears better cos smaller tank uses 10kk lights while this one uses 20kk...so i tink the diff in colour and intensity of light made it look nicer

well...tried cyclopeeze on anthias but couldn't work but can see they r much better so let them out from box....hid for 30mins then out swimming! also, transferred chilli sponge from smaller tank here's a picture...looks much better than in small tank...would attribute this to 20kk mh lights

its true that u need to put it outside if u put inside the heat gets trapped in and some heat will be conducted back to the tank via sump waters....so better put ouside....besides...chillers not that ugly so u can dun mind putting it outside
