salivateforme, i did read from somewhere that if the reading fluctuates it indicates weak batteries...i think its stated in my user guide i get 7.6 out of my tap i'm using the yellow milwaukee one i just calibrated it yesterday with ph7 and 4 solution...what i got is if tune to 4 will get 7.1 with the other solution and if tune to 7 i'll get 3.9. i guess its got sth to do with the solutions themselves because remember that during manufacturing, impurities, mass production of chemicals and different companies have different methods of testing the ph of the solutions they produce so slight discrepencies in ph of solution produced is inevitable for me, as long as the difference in ph reading between the 2 solutions is around 0.1 it should be fine

my clam for a month suddenly died today, i removed its from the tank before it started to decompose my hammer very wierd, close up very very tight, frogspawn not opening as big as usual and jewel never extend tentacles as long as it should. my leather also doesn't inflate when lights are on and are flaccid i'm thinking water parameter got problem. i quickly did a 10% water change already my question is what could've possibly caused my clam to die and such widespread negative reaction among my corals?

hi guys, i sell somethings online via auctions. i just wanna put up this thread to warn those who use this mode of transaction too. recently i received a email claiming to be someone from new york. he was very polite, very legitimate providing me with lots of details about himself. then he proposes offering me twice the amt which i was selling the auction for to purchase what i was selling. (the amt if not small, its 4 figures) then he gives me lots of details like where i can find fed ex couriers to send the product to him, his fed ex account number etc etc. and even sends me a western union order approval email showing that he has sent the money to me. Then, sth caught my attention, the address to ship it to was to NIGERIA, and on the email, it says "You WILL NOT receive the Money Order unless you ship it and provide the buyer with the shipping number" If you guys can remember, there are lots of fraud originating from Nigeria and for those who business, it is besic business rule internationally to receive money before goods are sent. I decided to call western union to confirm the authenticity of the email. The first thing the operator asked was "Is the email from Nigeria or are you to send the product to Nigeria?" and i of course said yes. She immediately said do not send it.
