  2. hi i'm not sure if your YT is suffering from cyanide poisoning because i once read that cyanide can poison the fish to an extent where the digestive tracts are destroyed and thus, no matter how much the fish eats, it is not absorbing nutrients and slowly withers away. (this reasoning is may not be so valid in this case since yellow tangs come from USA?...supposed to be strict on cyanide there? hope someone can verify this) i'm sure there could be another reason but with my limited knowledge, this is all i can offer now...hope its been helpful

  4. hi i wonder if my words are good but since you said a similar pump, why don't you considering using redun md series? a reefer told me that they're very quiet i've yet to try one out but will do so soon
  5. since it has to be run outsump, another question came over my mind hope you guys can respond if it's to be run outsump, does it have to be secured onto the wooden plank which my sump sits on or can it just be placed on the wooden plank without being secured? would there be lots of vibration from the pump?

  11. hey yeah! thank veliferium it does look like that but correct me if i'm wrong but doesn't nasarrius snails stick to and burrow in the sand? why were most of them crawling on my glass?
  12. sorry but i can't get a picture of them they're all very small because they're baby snails each only about 2-3mm big...i don't have the equipment for such zoomed shots

  14. hi guys, was taking a very close look on the glass of my tank and found lots of pods but besides the pods, i also found lots of small snails, off hand, at least 10 prob more! they were mostly found on the glass may i know what they are? i've drawn a rough sketch of their shell which i think is very characteristic of it and would be the key for identification i hope you guys can tell me what snail it is and if its a pest thank you!

  16. if i remember correctly a lfs did tell me once that if a coral is yellow, it's i quote:"definitely dyed, your skimmate will be yellow and coral wouldn't last long"....i just can't remember which lfs told me this though...sorry about it
  17. hi guys hope i'm not spoiling market by doing this my friend has lobang recently for about 5-10 bottles of extreme garlic (could be more could be less) if i'm not mistaken each is retailing at $24 from lfs but he's selling each one brand new at only $19/-. he'll pass me the garlic and i'll be holding on for collection for those interested but i needa know how many are interested so if you guys don't mind, if you're interested, please leave your nickname and pm me your contact number. no deposits are required but if you do aeroplane me, !@$!@!#$...   20. hi madmac i'm interested in finding out what happens when both the DSB and LR become saturated with po4 after a looong time and cannot store them anymore...both the rocks and DSB will leach po4? is this the time when po4 removers are critical in removing the leached po4 and po4 introduced through feeding? paiseh but one more question...does a good skimmer help in controlling po4 levels? thank you!
