  1. i noticed my neon pecking on sand and liverocks on the 2nd day i had it perhaps feasting on pods? cos i haf quite a few pods in my tank. i've not seen it feeding on the fish food i put in. its still doing fine since i got it last wednesday...
  2. wow, impressive. agree with vagabond that i would like to see the wave working in the whole view of the tank.
  3. just heard on news that a volcano has erupted in Sumatra
  4. wa...the girls quite chio, too bad my shoulder wasn't there for them to cry on and i wasn't there to hug them hahaha
  5. Foaming Some have asked if the epoxy causes excessive skimmer foaming. After 30mins of constant and another 3 hrs of occasional monitoring, the answer is no. after 24hrs,i also did not notice more skimmate in the collection cup in comparison, 10mins after feeding my fishes with 2 cubes of frozen brine, it started to foam quite significantly However, this foaming part of my review is highly limited to just my observations. I could very well have missed the foaming during the first 3hrs due to the fact that monitoring was only occasional so if anyone has a different experience from mine with regards to foaming, please come forward to post your experience here Would appreciate all inputs regarding this :thanks:
  6. got clearer version?...this one cannot see "them " properly haha
  7. how about u change your avatar to one of your chiobu friends? its alwaes nice to know that somewhere in singapore, there are pretty girls around too bad they only hang around and kiss handsome ones like you..haha...must be you practise some kinda hypnosis with your wine bar! hope to see your chiobus soon
  8. hi guys, yesterday i accidentally stumbled across a lfs in eunos called aquanature, sounds like eaquanature but eaquanature is in Geylang. its quite close to eunos MRT unfortunately, it was closed so i don't know what they offer. the only info i managed to gather was their tel no. this is their address Blk 8 Eunos Cres #01-2683 Has anyone ever seen that shop? How's the range of equipment and lifestocks offered?
  9. resized for u looks easier on the eyes
  10. ya...haha and to make things worse, the chio ones either in AV industry or already snapped up by rich actors or singers....sianz korea or taiwan better choice for girls on streets... should ask rocky99...he's in taiwan for exchange now
  11. What i like about it The fact that it isn't pure white makes it a bonus for me. But the weight of this plus pt varies from person to person as some do not mind the stark white colour that other epoxies give. Problems i faced 1)After kneading the epoxy, the moment its brought into the aquarium water, some part of it "dissolved" to form a white cloudy trial in the direction of water flow. Although this incident was very short and minimal, i suppose it could cause quite a bit of problem if the epoxy were used in large quantities and in a nano tank. Solution:perhaps washing the knead under tap water would help bring away some of the materials that would dissolve Reaction from corals and fishes Except for the frogspawn, that was within 4inches from the hammer, retracting, non of the other lifestock (fish, shrimps and crabs, and corals included) showed any signs of stress from using the epoxy The frogspawn recovered within an hour or so That's all for my review. All opinions expressed here are shaped by my personal experience with using this product and is by no means a form of comparison against the experience of other users, nor are these views to be used for comparing aquapharm epoxy with other brands of epoxies Thank you for reading
  12. Final Step AFter bringing the epoxy into the water and fixing the coral there, this is what you get. The picture shows a before-and-after shot
  13. Kneading During kneading, the epoxy can be quite hard and requires abit of strength to knead (perhaps i'm just weak in the arms ) I've tried industrial epoxy to seal up a crack in my sump and i swear it wasn't that tough AFter 5mins of kneading, this is what you get
  14. Here's a copy of the instructions to show how easy it is to use
  15. Contents It is a 2 part epoxy, one white and one red. Both parts are responsible for the hardening and the red part is responsible for the red colour of the epoxy after it sets. The red colour is meant to minimise the stark (and sometimes ugly) difference between the colour of coralline on our rocks and the (usually white) colour of the epoxy
  16. "As requested by Jan" Introduction Many who have simply rest their corals on their rocks without applying epoxy inevitably find that one fine day, that coral is found somewhere lower than where it was originally placed, because it was toppled either by turbo snails or some other lifestock. i too was a victim of this toppling...fortunately for me, there wasn't any casualties. But others may not be so lucky. So i decided to get myself some epoxy under the recommendation of a friend, i decided to get: Aquapharm Epoxy
  17. acidjazz, seems like some people not convinced with the photo you posted. how about you post another picture of the bubbles? not enough money to buy rio20 ah? aiyo....u so handsome, can easily get many girls who wan u to pay for it ma!
  18. my parents went to osaka, they said not a single chiobu there so if u wanna find chiobu, please skip osaka
  19. oh i see...maybe i'll try that prec zac: for me i don't feed market prawn, i feed the heh bee (dried shrimp) that some lfs sell for feeding anemone prata seems to enjoy
  20. y not try rio20hf acidjazz? would it be too strong and flood the collection cup?
  21. been using md55 with no cabinet for close to 10days. so far NO issue with sound, suprisingly VERY quiet but like acidjazz said, it does get quite warm...but i think that isn't too much of a concern if you're not using a cabinet. as for running it in cabinet, the senior reefer who sold me his beckett told me the md55 when running in cabinet can make the cabinet quite warm, so you might wanna take that into consideration if you wanna see it running in action, i would strongly suggest paying bio ocean a visit, their 10ft display tank has at least 3 md40 and 1 md55 running....will give you a great idea of noise and heat. one more thing, they've got a 6ft beckett running on md55...go and take a look at the bubbles and foam....shiock man! to whoever built it: you're my idol
  22. hey zac, y not try feeding a piece of market prawn? cos i tink a cube of mysis when placed inside the water starts to melt then may get abit messy i think its better to start small then slowly increase the size of it. cheers
  23. wow bro, happy to see you got it! do review here on the way your water parameters improve like no3 better still if u got ORp meter to measure ORp...haha...
