since the last time i posted in this thread, i've changed from dosing weekly to adopting dosing TM lugol everyday at the advice of some seniors (1drop per 200L) and from my observation, i must agree with Tigger on colours of corals becoming more vibrant. i noticed this with mushrooms and my jewel. for me, mushrooms showed effect within a week and jewel within 6weeks. just some of my observations

I wouldn't recommend hanging in on your tank although it can because its pretty big and is very heavy...quite an amt of stress on your glass if you hang it when i used it, i let it sit on a stack of newspapers its more than $100/- but should be less than 200 look for it at aquamarin or bio ocean...i only know of these 2 places

i also experience before...IMO...really prepare for worse mine first one went in the way you described...the other opened big big i thought ok...then after 2 weeks...the 2nd one suddenly went in the exact same way...
