i've got 1 polyp of normal green mushroom and 1 polyp of red mushroom for trade with other mushroom (any colour/genus) or give away FOC. I'm also running a 500L tank like yours. i'm running the md55 on a 32" beckett. i can't comment on md55 and its effects on a mini since i've never had the experience...anyway, i'm clueless about technical aspect of beckett. people recommend me to use md55 with 32" so i just follow btw, which part of Bangkok are you at? mine's near suan lum lumpini

hi micheal i've been using a md55 for past 2 mths my opinions on it based on my limited experience: it does have its own cooling fan and it does run quite warm, noise it generates is barely audible. but i can't speak for other users nor can i speak for its performance in the long run. i believe it consumes 100W at 50hz and 220-240V voltage supplied by Singapore and Bangkok. btw, just curious, are you Thai or a Singaporean working in Thailand long term?
