  15. feed less use better skimmer increase flow to make sure food doesn't esttle and remain uneaten
  16. increasing flow will help in the first place u have too much nutrients in your water. nutrients come from shit u add sth in to clear the diatoms, that animal will also produce shit, which actually exacerbates the problem. so reduce nutrients and INCrease Flow
  17. i have a tunze temperature controller for sale its very new retail price is $249/- i'm selling it at $160/- interested pls contact me at 91697799 collection is at my place near boonkeng mrt station The switching output is 1,800 W at 230 V. With batteries fitted the instrument can be used as an easy-to-handle and precise temperature measuring instrument. The electrode comes with a universal holding device and thus solves almost all mounting problems. with this device u can use it to either control your chiller or cut off your mh in the event of a chiller failure! for pictures you may refer to www.reefdepot.com.sg -> controllers/monitors
  18. ascertain that its cyano first before getting creatures that eat cyano. scarlee u mistook the algae as cyano when it is sth else. many ways to solve the problem, to kill it at the source, control your nutrient content this includes: 1)getting a better skimmer 2)running po4 media and carbon 3)reduce feeding and frequent water change if u r unable to provide for number 1/2 other methods of solving the problem that doesn't include solving the root of the problem 1)getting some fish to disturb the sand. this prevents giving the algae a stagnant surface to grow on (but it only works on sand, your rocks will still have the same problem ) 2) increase circulation in your tank (this IMO is better than 1, corals will appreciate more flow, and u dun introduce new life stock (fish, sea hare sea cucumber that adds to your nutirient problem) btw, test your water and give us the results. no3 and po4.
  19. 2 spot goby if i'm not mistaken is pretty hard to keep if you're not using dsb u can consider sand shifter btw, if your algae bloom is caused by high no3, u can forget about the star fishes, most likely they wun survive the high no3.
  20. what you think? what's the latest craze now? what do people usually go for after beckett? lol
