recently, i went to AA and the boss and i entered topic of refugium and he told me for nitrate control with refugium, its size or surface area needs to be somewhere close to main tank b4 any significant nitrate control will take place. i've been using a small 2x1 ft refugium with caulerpa for nitrate control....after hearing what he said, i went home to test my no3 and sure enough, it never dropped since the last time i tested my no3 6 weeks ago. i jus wanna find out by starting this thread on wat's the experience of those who use or haf used algae in refugium to control nitrates

hm i'm not mistaken yes needa cycle but i'm not too sure wat i advice is no need setup hospital tank as u wun haf enough time plus netting them out will stress them making their condition worse now exercise 48hr black out and feed 3 times a dae with food soaked in garlic if u got UV then set it up...it'll help this method saved my fishes frmo ich twice and saved my friend's one once so it should work

as far as i noe, for euphyllia family, there's frogspawn, hammer and octopus but octopus got split 2 types, one is bumps r quite big and looks very close to frogspawn but is not, the other type is bumps quite small which is wat some refer to as the true octo paradivisa and divisa refers to the skeleton true or false refers to the size of the bumps. this is wat i noe correct me if i'm wrong though

yeah....lumi green VERY nice saw one head selling for $8 at some lfs limsteel...i'm pretty sure yrs is a frogspawn but in any case, frogspawns r also very pretty cheers!
